SWINGING IS LIBERATING    I was a swinger. I say I was a swinger because I’m not a swinger now because I’ve not had that conversation with my girlfriend even though she knows all about my swinging past. For about four years, I was part of a swinging couple. It was a liberating experience. In France, swingers are called libertines, a far better term than swingers! As a couple, we’d meet other couples and have sex with them. It was as simple as that. We made many great friends while having sex with other couples. For us, if there was no friendship with the other couple, then, there was no sex. There are lots of swingers around and they are just ordinary people just like me and you, though my guess is that most swingers are more likely to be middle-aged. There are different types of swinging sex for couples. There’s what’s called full swap where penetrative sex with other partners takes place and there’s soft swap where no penetrative sex with other partners takes place. Soft swap can range from just watching each other having sex to sex to having sex just short of penetrative sex with another partner. Another choice is same-room or separate-room sex. Some couples, like us, wanted sex in the same room. It’s a big turn-on seeing your partner getting fucked. And a few couples wanted sex in separate rooms. We didn’t do separate rooms. Some couples wouldn’t have sex on the first date - yes, swinging is dating! - and other couples would. We’d be happy to have sex on the first meet but were also happy to wait for the second date. If sex didn’t happen then, it was unlikely ever to happen. There’s a lot to go wrong with swinging as a couple. If your relationship is not strong, then, swinging won’t help the relationship. Communication was also sometimes difficult. There’s the communication between the two couples but also communication between the couple. It is not always easy to communicate with your partner when another couple asks you to their bedroom. We tried to develop a code but the code never worked! Eventually we came to an understanding that, if one of us didn’t want to swing, we'd just say so! Another problem for swinging couples compared to dating singles is that the number of relationship is multiplied. With two people, there’s only one relationship; with two couples, there are six relationships that can go wrong! It only needs one relationship between two couples to not work for sex not to happen. In some ways, it’s amazing that two couples ever swing together! I found that swinging enhanced our sex life. It made us talk about sex more, trust each other and never having to worry about infidelity - we’d just shag someone else in front of each other! Also, after a meet with another couple, our sex was brilliant! It’s sometimes said that men suggest swinging to their women partners, but it’s women who enjoy swinging the most. I’m not sure whether this irony is true but all I can say is that swinging is liberating! Also, swinging is why I’m here now blogging and boring you to death with my tales! You may finish beeing bored to have a french reader nowadays ... sorry about that, but swingers in french is "échangistes", wich, more or less means swingers. Libertine is a lot more complex concept ... too long to develop here. I was a libertine before beeing a swinger, which I am and enjoy (so does my beloved).

I have been a swinger in a couple. It was ok but not great. I enjoyed sex with multiple partners but would rather do it one on one. I also was doing a very poor job accepting my husband wanted to be a cross dressing bi. It is fine with me whatever you want to be, as long as you are not sleeping with me. Swinging is one of those confusing categories! Is swinging just sex involving more than two people? Is an extramarital affair swinging? Does swinging just mean admitting that sex with someone other than your so-called partner is an attractive proposition?

I do swing, I love swings,I feel so liberated when I'm at a playground on a swing and going as high as I can. Sexually, I haven't been in a relationship where it was an option. My partners have always been too possessive and even in a swinging situation would completely flip-out if they saw someone else's cock going into me.
