IT'S WOMEN'S DAY TODAY   Today is International Women’s Day. Despite many advances, women still have a long way to go to achieve equality with men, assuming that’s a worthwhile aim! Putting aside the imbalances of economic, political and social inequalities - and they shouldn’t be put aside lightly, one imbalance remaining is the objectification of women. Objectification means treating a person as a commodity to be bought and sold - this happened to slaves and is still happening to women and . There is no way on this site that you cannot objectify. I think the burger is the most objectifying. The half naked girl is just a photo of a pretty woman. Not sure about the first photo. The best and worst things about women....I don't know for they are all different. The same goes for men....I can't generalise because everyone is different. OH YEAH! What she said. The peeing standing up, that's a good one, a time saver. Do know how nasty public toilets are? Girls are taught to hover not sit, that's probably how the seats get so wet. Oh and the UK the public toilets don't even have seats, so you better hover or get wet. Yeah, wish we could pee standing up, we got gypt (oh am I allowed to say that, am I racist? ) Worst thing about being a woman, other than being vulnerable in ways a man isn't, oh I suppose a man could be too. Not being taken seriously, not having authority, in the UK I don't really see that as much. Here in the states, as an unmarried partner, you have no worth or credibility what-so-ever. I could never call the phone company or any utility and make a change in our service, they always had to talk to him.
