LIVE LONG AND PROSPER  I was going to post a blog on how I had sex with five different women today. But, given Leonard Nimoy’s death yesterday, I though I would pay my respects to the actor instead. Spock only dies once; I can have sex with five women any day - only joking! Though he did do other things, Leonard Nimoy is synonymous with playing Spock in Star Trek. Playing Spock caused Leonard Nimoy some anguish. In 1975 he wrote his first autobiography I Am Not Spock; and ten years later he wrote his second autobiography, I Am Spock. Leonard Nimoy suffered considerable anguish over being typecast as a Vulcan. The actor revealed that he “went through a definite identity crisis”. But he very logically embraced his typecast role and acknowledged that it was, in the words of one of his acting colleagues, "better to be typecast than not to be cast at all". Did you enjoy Star Trek? If so, who was your favourite Star Trek character? Would you have preferred to have read about sex with five women than reading about Spock in Star Trek? Though no Trekkie, I loved watching Star Trek on television. My favourite Star Trek character was Captain Kirk because he always took command of the situation. And he got to spank my second favourite character played by Nichelle Nichols, Lt Uhura - see below.   |

I loved Star Trek and Spock was my favourite character. I was so sorry to hear of his death....R.I.P. I would rather hear about anything at all than you having sex with 5 women....it's been a while since I had sex!!!!  ~~Anais Nin~~

I enjoyed the Next Generation much more than the original. The new movies are fantastic. Spock had a great role and a beautiful spirit. Bones was my favorite in the first series.

R.I.P: Leonard Nimoy I was more fascinated by Star Trek than actually liked it. I found it fascinating that the most unique and alien character in Star Trek was the most universally embraced when in daily society anyone who was unique or different was often pilloried. In the very early 1990s, I used to have/wear a t-shirt that had the caption 'Beam me up, Scotty... This planet sucks!' I was an emo long before most people had a clue what emo was. My favourite character was Scotty, he was the tech-nerd that kept the S.S Enterprise up and running. "Ye cannae change the laws of physics, Jim!" I still have copies of STAR TREKKING by The Firm. c,1987 The video is priceless! I'm just as happy to participate in a salute to Leonard Nimoy as to read about you having sex with 5 women.
