TUNNEL OF LOVE

Klevan is a small medieval town in the western Ukraine, far away from the fighting in eastern Ukraine. Nearby is a railway line, called the Tunnel of Love - see above, which is very popular with lovers. It looks great for a romantic interlude.

The most romantic place that I’ve visited is Mérida, a Spanish colonial city in the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico, not too far from the popular resort of Cancún.

In one Mérida park there are lots of love seats where couples sit and wait to be serenaded by the ubiquitous Mariachi bands - see the two photos below. Mariachi is a type of Mexican folk music.

After a while though, the trumpet-dominated Mariachi music stops sounding romantic and becomes something to escape from!

What’s the most romantic place you’ve ever been to?
Would you describe yourself as a romantic person?

Romance, for me, involves both a special person and a special place. I can be romantic but often the grind of life inhibits my romantic gestures!

Oh yes I'm very romantic.....I love all the stuff that goes with it. The most romantic place I have ever visited was a bistro at home....but I think it was the company I was with that made it so romantic.

The most romantic place I've ever been was a cliff under a full moon with my ex-husband in Southern Baja Caifornia, because we had just gotten together and were able to make love outdoors, day and night.
Am I a romantic person? I suspect not that much, but I am trying to change that.

I am sort of romantic. My husband is not. I think I have tempered my romantic notions with realism.
As for romantic place...I guess the beach in the moonlight. or at Dolphin Cove on our boat at sunset.

There is a difference between a good BJ and a bad BJ.

Does Niagara Falls Count?

I'm still trying to figure out why it's the honeymoon capital.

It's always the company and not the place that makes things romantic.

The most romantic place I've ever been is a picturesque park under moonlight.

I need the right inspiration (person) to be romantic... Stand by for my Valentine's Day post... I think you will enjoy it if it turns out as I plan for it to.
A moonlit park sounds very romantic.

What’s the most romantic place you've ever been to? Niagara Falls, it is beautiful and you can hear the falls long before you are near. At night the mist is like rain even several streets away, when you wake in the morning and leave your hotel it still falls as rain. It is another magical part of the world. We walked or hopped out onto rocks in the river above the falls, thinking nothing of it at the time, but now I am amazed at our foolishness.

Would you describe yourself as a romantic person? I am not at all romantic. We were always practical. Growing up we didn't have much and the mantra was, if you can't eat it don't buy it. I am married to a practical man and I never hear any terms of endearment and a slight speech impediment keeps him from saying my name.

Thank you for sharing this. I never heard of this place in Ukraine. How timely for Valentine's Day!

    Happy Valentine's S.
I've never been to Niagara Falls. Should I go to the Canadian or American side?

I totally agree; romance is about moments and often about who're you're with rather than where you are.

Where you live sounds very romantic, especially when you're on your boat.
