80-69-48 There's an irony to this post! I'm struggling to keep up in blogland over the last few weeks. In the last week, three bloggers I follow have posted 80, 69 and 48 posts. That's almost an average of 10 blog posts a day. I can't keep up; less is more sometimes! I'm a liberal so people can blog as little and as much as they like, but I can't keep up with it all! I'm blogging less and that's the irony as I'm blogging now about blogging less! And I'm culling who I watch! Sorry for those I'm culling but I can't keep up. I'm not really sorry but less is more (for me!). |

I typically write between 0 and 1 a day... sometimes two if I post something then something else hits me. I did see a blogger the other day completely fill up the "new posts" page... that was just a bit insane to me.

I did that a while ago Spunky....I just don't have time to read 10 posts or more a day from anyone no matter how good a blogger they may be. I appreciate that they may have nothing else in their lives....but unfortunately I do and I can't sit here all day. It is of course their right to post as they wish....it is also our right to read as we wish. You are much more mannerly than me....I made no apology for my cull.  ~~Anais Nin~~

I did that a while ago Spunky....I just don't have time to read 10 posts or more a day from anyone no matter how good a blogger they may be. I appreciate that they may have nothing else in their lives....but unfortunately I do and I can't sit here all day. I too have issues with people who blog more then once a day....I am too busy to follow people who posts more than once a day.....so I made a rule for myself...I will only read and comment one blog per blogger per day.....I understand their rational in why they do it....they want new viewers to comment so they can pad their numbers of viewers who comment on their blog thus sending them higher and higher or maintaining their status as one of the most viewed blogs! I'd rather have a fewer hard core followers who like my blog for what it is then keep pushing for newer and higher number of watchers (who comment once or twice and leave). So don't feel guilty.....follow the ones you like and be happy!! p.s. I don't follow bloggers who don't respond to my comments either....they're too busy with their huge blog too keep up or they have poor manners. lol spunky sounds like my watchers list.. There are at least 4 of my watcher who have posted well over 40 threads in one week.. How do you keep up.. I say one post per day regardless what they are posting.. Sorry but with a page of half of active bloggers I am finding it very difficult too keep up.. Add on power outages on Sunday and most of Monday and I am now left with another sea of yellow.. hugssssssssssss V Show up when you can.. Always a pleasure to see your comments.. I understand exactly where you stand on this issue...I have a hard time keeping up also. You can cull me if you must, but I don't post every day, and Santa "knows where you live"!!!!

I get a panic attack when I see that much yellow...Oh wait, that is when I see golden (as in showers) LOL I can't get to one a day sometimes. Most of the people I follow are like me; average people blogging about their lives. I also enjoy the thinkers, like you.

Thank you for posting your comment because I was getting angry about a previous comment and your comment made me realise what blogging is about. Thank you, my friend. It's that word 'you' again that caused problems in her comment. I took it as 'me' but she meant it as 'one'!

No apology is needed. You are allowed to read as many or as few as you wish. I cannot imagine that any blog here warrants 80 posts a week and even if it did, surely 80 responses is way more that any sane person would expect. Even LOL and ROFL take time! I'd anticipate that high volume posting indicates a short lived blog

I have just had to do the very same thing. I was following some of the same bloggers. Seeing those posts mounting up it was making my head spin and I am dizzy enough at the moment. I was trying to watch 21 blogs and they don't all watch me, so tit for tat, some got the boot. Sorry I've gone a bit mad with the posts lately, making up for lost time and such, don't feel compelled to catch each one. I do love you and your blog. PS One of my friends wrote about the double dick guy! I am glad someone did.

I always try to keep my number of posts to 3 or less per day because I don't want to exhaust my friends. I hope I will get to remain in your list but will try to understand if I don't. I understand that the heavy load has been overwhelming you lately. Re: the comment from 'zipless_no_less'... This person made a more inane and unnecessary comment than they accused your post of being. Excellent reply, by the way. Try not to let trolls like that upset you, they aren't worthy of that level of emotional energy.  zipless has since apologised; there was a misunderstanding over the 'you' word in her comment.
