SEXY JUMPERS?

SEXY JUMPERS?   In the UK, we tend to say jumpers rather than sweaters. Like most people, I have a collection of jumpers but there’s only a couple I like wearing. My favourite jumper at the moment is a very baggy red one; it makes me look shapeless! Jumpers often don’t look sexy, particularly on me. Not even Steve McQueen quite pulls it off, and Jon Snow certainly doesn’t pull it off - see above. Here in the UK, there is a tradition of people, especially older men, wearing loud and humorous festive jumpers in the Christmas period. IO don't know whether this tradition Over the recent Christmas period, I noticed - streetwise that I am! - a lot more people, including women and younger men, wearing Christmas jumpers. Below is a sample of Christmas jumpers. I don’t own a Christmas jumper and probably wouldn't wear a festive jumper if given one. Christmas jumpers just don’t look good, which comes back to my original point that jumpers aren’t sexy. Do you think jumpers/sweaters can look sexy? Non-Christmas jumpers that are a loose fit can look kind of sexy on some people but only when the jumper is one or at most two colours of wool, no embellishments, pompoms etc... The only thing more deeply unsexy than the Christmas jumpers in the pictures above is skivvies, which are as much of a fashion faux-pas as culottes. I do not, never have, never would wear a Christmas jumper. They look ridiculous! Steve McQueen is wearing a cardigan (of sorts), not an actual jumper... Plain dark colors are my usual choice. No advertising, no prints, no stupid memes. I DO own a lot of sweaters, mostly wool. I have an obscene number of wool sweaters. I take care of them, they last forever, and I wear them even after they're beyond their useful life. Oddly enough, I just counted the other day, and I have twenty woolen U.S. Army surplus olive drab and brown fatigue sweaters. I've been buying them for decades and can't resist a good price on one. I wear them for every occasion except sex. This may seem excessive, probably because it is. I guess I have a wool sweater fetish. Become a member now and get a free tote bag.

Jumpers can look sexy sometimes....particularly an oversized man's jumper on an otherwise naked woman lol. I have never worn a Christmas jumper.  ~~Anais Nin~~
