A SALES PITCH  I’ve been on this FriendFinder (or Various, Inc) site since May 2008 - I’m on Affairlook (there’s no need to spell A F F out because the site will do it for me). I’ve just found out that this site has a BigChurch network - incredible! Since joining this site, I’ve met several people who say they want to write a book of their adventures on this site. I’ll admit that I’ve been tempted to write a book but given that the site owns the legal copyright of all material posted on this site and, more importantly, given that other people are involved, I’ve totally resisted the temptation. Your secrets are safe with me! But this site would make for a great sitcom especially if it’s centred on the site’s Customer Service Department. Just think, the sitcom could focus on the ways the site doesn’t do customer service and then it could branch off to enliven this corporate nonsense by focusing on certain members’ sexual (or failed sexual) experiences. It’s classic sitcom material! Have I made a successful pitch for a sitcom based on this site? Have you ever been tempted to write your ‘kiss-and-tell’ stories from your experiences on this site? Do or did you ever have to do sales pitches? Thankfully I don’t have to make too many sales pitches in my job, but when I do it has to be a business case. But fuck, I’m in education not business; there is a difference!  |

I think you made a successful sales pitch for a sitcom based on this site. I think you might want to consider adding a little twist though. I think that if you had one of the customer service people trying to get a date with one of the members here, and then finding out that the member is one of the myriad of fake ones here. The customer service person then ends up going through at least ten different members before finally finding one that is real. I think that would make it a bit more realistic in tone.  I've been tempted but have never done it beyond sharing a couple of funny stories with people in the blogs. I've had to do sales pitches, but I hate sales!

I use to be in real estate does that count. I was pretty darn good at it too sit come of this place, not sure whod you make that work. I wont kiss and tell about anything about here unless someone doesn't mind a story about themselves. 4  if love isn't the answer, than I misunderstood the question

As I am a huge fan of the show IT Crowd, I think it is a brilliant idea! I think a book of just various blogs would be a good read.

A sitcom about this place would be so funny!!! I have been tempted to write about some of the aspects of the site and a few of the people whose paths have crossed with mine....but luckily for them I haven't had the time. In my career there would have been a certain amount of sales pitching I guess but not a lot. ~~Anais Nin~~

This site has been overtaken by the BigChurch network hence the increasing censoriousness regarding printed material, the problems that I have encountered in the last 4 months which is ironically offset by some of the filthiest imagery I have ever been exposed to. Pure hypocrisy and so typical of the religious right. I would be very surprised that a sitcom based on this site would be amusing enough to anyone to run for more than 3 episodes. I have written a kiss-and-tell of probably my best ever experience with a guy I met on this site... 'How many times does 20 go into 47? As many times as he likes.' I have been involved in door-to-door sales work and had to pull out a sales pitch to try to induce customer interest in the merchandise, less so when I worked in a shop that sold unopened alcohol, all I had there was recommending some wines over others, obviously the store was bent upon me singing the praises of the more expensive bottles but I would do my research and often recommend a great wine at a lower price. The customers seemed to really like me.

Aren't our profiles on this site a type of sales pitch to sell ourselves as being desirable to others for the purpose of finding some intimate friction? I structured my profile on that concept, shame many of the men who have read it have not taken some ideas away with them and applied them to their own profile to improve their chances.
