IT’S KARAOKE NIGHT  Karaoke is a Japanese compound word from the words kara and ōkesutora that mean empty orchestra. I’ve been to a few karaoke bars though I’ve never performed karaoke. I can think of much better things to do than making a complete fool of myself singing out of tune in front of lots of people. Have you done karaoke? If you had to do karaoke now, what song would you choose to sing to? How good is your singing voice? If I had to perform in a karaoke bar, the song I’d select for my debut performance would be Fleetwood Mac’s Albatross! If I wasn’t allowed to perform to an instrumental song, then I'd choose The Champs’ Tequila song. Here are its lyrics in full! Tequila Tequila Tequila If the karaoke bar didn’t stock this 1958 hit song, then, I’d choose Indeep’s Last Night a DJ Saved My Life that was a hit in 1982. I’ve been singing this song to myself since yesterday since one of my girlfriend’s ’s friends sang the song to me. He thought I saved his life by phoning an ambulance when he had a seizure after taking a so-called legal high in my home. I told him to stick to the illegal weed!   |

I have two karaoke machines of my own,,,I haven't done the karaoke bar scene as I don't do bars!  We use them a lot at Christmas with the grandkids!I have several CD's mostly old rock & roll and country. My favorite song to sing is "Ring of Fire" ...favorite Christmas song is "Away in A Manger". All that really matters is that "I" think I have a good singing voice!

Did some professional work in the late 80's and 90's. Was in a band for a while. My last surgery, I lost feeling on the right side of my face and mouth. Makes for bad singing when I can't control my voice.

Doing Karaoke would be one of my worst nightmares alongside having to re-live my childhood. What I Am by Edie Brickell and The New Bohemians... I could probably do a reasonable rendition of TIK TOK by Kesha. lol Until damaging my throat last year by kamikaze deepthroating one of my guests who had a 9inch cock and then suffering a few unrelated lung infections, my singing voice was fairly crisp, medium high pitch and I could hold notes for an average of 30 seconds... Now, it's foggy, a lower register and holding notes for more than 10 seconds is impossible. I'm too depressed about it to add a smiley, sorry.
