VANISHING IMAGES?  Above is a photograph taken by Guy Bourdin. From reading people’s blogs, it’s clear that there’s a problem of vanishing images on this site. Sometimes I’ve posted an image with my blog post only for it to disappear after a while. My good blogging friend, lok4fun500, gave me some advice a while back. Since I've followed his advice, I’ve not had too much of a problem with vanishing images on my blog posts. I’m very thankful for lok4fun500’s advice and I feel his words of wisdom need to be shared. Immediately after uploading a post with an image (or images), just edit the post without changing the post so you are re-uploading the same text and images. Whenever I do this, no images disappear - I don’t know why it works, but it seems to stop images disappearing. In particular, I find images disappear when I edit and change my original post soon after uploading it. I usually have to wait for a few hours before I can alter my post without losing any images by editing. I just wish the site would spend more time on sorting out the basics than launching gimmicks. This site would be brilliant if it functioned without the endless glitches. Do you experience problems with images vanishing after you’ve posted them? What’s the most annoying glitch that you experience on this site?   |

That happens to me all the time. Mostly it is with pics that are not actually taken by me. Makes me think someone or something is worried about copyright infringement. For all my posts I usually wait fifteen minutes to a half hour and then edit as you wrote to reupload any pic that has gone missing, and that takes care of it.

I have been having the same problem.. It seems a few images I have posted just disappear for no reason. I posted again today and two were gone in matter of minutes from my post.. This one image will never stay on main page of my thread.. hugssssssss V Become a blog watcher sweet_vm

That's right - just edit and post again without changing anything and your images shouldn't disappear. Touch wood!

1. Occasionally, but I'm not affected as badly as some people seem to be. 2. Too many glitches, sadly the site, and therefore the ville, is in dire straits, both technically and financially!

I now wait a day before I edit out my errors on a post, as if I edit straightaway that's when the images disappear.

Yes, nearly every time I post an image, or images, they disappear... Even by the time I go back to do what Lok advised you to do. There's not one most annoying glitch that stands out above all others, they're all close to intolerable.

 I can well see why you find that the most annoying glitch on this site. It seems a lot of men have such little glitches!

That's a mystery why HNW makes your photos vanish. It seems that posting photos when editing bypasses the site's software monitoring content posted.

Do you experience problems with images vanishing after you’ve posted them? Yes! What’s the most annoying glitch that you experience on this site? Disappearing images and changes on my profile like Relocate was no and then I find it changed to yes. Also the Drugs part of the profile was Drugs: I don't use Drugs and then mysteriously it change to Drugs: I use recreational Drugs which is just funny as hell! Some of my friends alerted me to this and you will see on this post that other members have experienced the same things! I hope in time this glitches will be resolved so they are not a pain any more. It's manageable and I feel any site is not going to be perfect! Good post!

I make sure I save the photos for my posts in case they disappear and then if they do I upload them again! It just takes extra time but it's really not a big deal for me!

Given what you say, you do seem to experience problems more than most members when uploading blogs posts.
