SKINNY DIPPING   Above and below are swimmers skinny-dipping in the North Sea. There was a very recent attempt to break the world record for the largest number of people skinny-dipping. At dawn on 21 September, hundreds of naked swimmers met at Northumberland’s Druridge Bay in England to go skinny-dipping in the freezing North Sea. One skinny-dipper said, “Everyone has this impression it is going to be packed out with pervs. They couldn’t be more wrong.” Unfortunately only about 200 people took part in the skinny-dipping charity event organised by the National Trust. The disappointingly low turnout was probably due to the temperature being a “bit parky”! The skinny-dipping world record still stands at 800 swimmers who, earlier this year, went for a skinny-dip in the much warmer seas off Miami in Florida. The last time I went skinny dipping was two years ago in France – I was at a nudist beach so skinny dipping was sort-of compulsory! My coldest swim was in a small river in North Wales while on a school trip. One of my warmest swims was in Iceland! The last time I was seen naked by someone other than my partner was at a sex party six months ago. Having stripped off to enjoy the hot-tub, my clothes were left in a pile on the floor until the next morning.   |

Water is warm, the waves were low and the time was right What's been your coldest swim? The beach in Puerto Rico, it was actually warm, I stay out of cold water. Excluding partners, who was the last person to see you naked? Probably similar to what you described at a party.

I don't recall ever having skinny-dipped. My coldest swim would have been at Cronulla Beach in 1986, the water temperature on the day was 16°C. The last person to see me naked, who wasn't a sex partner (was an intended sex-partner) was a young, Irish scaffolder's apprentice who I sent a full-length, full-frontal naked photo of myself in August 2011 to prove my absence of vagina. He sent me back a loathsome and hate-filled text not to contact him again after having encouraged me because he said he didn't mind whether I had a penis or a vagina and just wanted to get-off with me.

The medical profession do get to see a lot of naked bodies; I'm not sure whether it's an upside or downside to their jobs.
