CH-CH-CH-CH-CHANGES

Changes is the 1971 David Bowie song, which was the last song he played on stage before his retirement from performing live.

I’ve been on this site since May 2008 and I’ve been blogging regularly since October 2012. When I first joined as part of a couple, I was looking for other couples to meet and hopefully to have sex with. Then, I gradually gravitated towards groups and blogs on the site.

When I first joined, I heard about the large number of fake members on the site. This was not a major problem for me, as it always became clear after a few mails whether someone was real or not - or, moreover, whether someone actually wanted to meet or not. I suspect there are quite a few people on this site who like the thought of meeting up but don’t want to meet when it comes to the crunch.

The site’s customer service has been awful throughout my membership, so nothing has changed there.

Now, I hear about and experience the many glitches on the site. There were lots of glitches when I joined, so not much has changed there.

The biggest and worst change, for me, has been the site’s change from an e-mail-based message system to a text-based one. I just don’t like it.

The other changes seem to be gimmick-ey and nothing much to get worked up about.

But I also hear that blogland was not like it used to be. I don’t think I’ve been blogging long enough to see any major changes. It all seems pretty much the same to me even though some people go and some people leave. I’m very interested in finding out whether other people have seen any changes in blogland.

How long have you been a member of this site?
What changes have you noticed since you started out on this site?
Has blogland changed since you joined the site?

Things are never that bad that they can’t get better or worse. Things just ch-ch-change; they rarely ever stay the same.

Here’s David Bowie’s cock to finish off!

I joined over 10 years ago as a standard, then lost my password until 20012. I found it and logged in...finally started reading blogs then with some help, started my own blog Sept 26th 2012. Bought a membership because standards couldn't do much. I have seen some changes and too many glitches. It will be tough for them to get more money from me!

I joined the site in 2008 and discovered the blogs in May 2010. Started my own blog as Sexysixties (mark in July 2010.

The positive changes on the blogs for me are....

a) the ability to post up to 10 images....prior to that if I wanted to post a lot of images I would make them into big bling.

b) the new format of the watched blogs list where the new blogs are all at the top of my list.

c) the ability of all members including standard members to view where they are quoted.

The negative changes for me are

a) the constant fight to get around the glitches.

b) the influx of bloggers from all the affiliate sites some of whose manners leave a lot to be desired and who seem to think that this is just a sex site.

c) the behaviour of a very few bloggers who spend their time looking for fault in other blogs and reporting bloggers. It creates an atmosphere of distrust in Blogland.

Blogland has changed a lot since I started blogging....I only need to look at the list of my local blogs to see that most new bloggers simply use their blog as an advertisement for their sexual wants and/or prowess. However the days of all out drama as we experienced with the likes of EN seem to have passed....most of what goes on now is behind the scenes.

Finally, on a personal note, I have seen a lot of very good bloggers leave over the last two years and I miss them.

How long have you been a member of this site? I just checked,,Member Since: 12/29/1997, wow, did not realize that

What changes have you noticed since you started out on this site? For most of that time was randomly viewing, chatting etc,. then got into chat rooms. So I never noticed changes. Finally fed up with chat rooms. Came to blogs November 2012. The biggest change I see is the total lack of competence in the site administration.

Has blogland changed since you joined the site? The big change that I enjoy is the 10 pictures you can post now.

Please cum visit my blog,,,,,,,,,,,,pal334

I miss the blog wars

These days people just aren't willing to invest the time and energy required to build up the manic ferocity we used to see

I see most of the things that came to my mind have already been mentioned.

I joined in 2010 and started blogging right away. The blogs have always been the best part of this site for me, with the added bonus that I got to meet a few sexy ladies along the way.

I don't miss the blog wars which were rampant a few years ago. And it is nice that more pics can be added as well.

I know that the message center has had plenty of glitches, but I do like that I can see conversations from long ago now.

Not that it matters much to me, but I do think that this site is headed in the right direction. My biggest complaint would be that pages (especially ones with lots of pictures) load so slow.

Read my diary Journal of a Taxi Driver for taxi stories and pictures of flowers and trees.

How long have you been a member of this site? Since 2006.

What changes have you noticed since you started out on this site? There have been big changes but that was inevitable. Once the site was sold to Penthouse, the changes were frequent and glitchy. Eventually they work them out. I don't pay much attention to them. I also have not paid for membership for many years now. No point.

Has blogland changed since you joined the site? Not as mean as it used to be. LOL I have come across many bloggers who dwell on the negatives of Blogland. I usually end up not reading them. I am more a glass half full sort. The experience is what you make of it.

I've been on this site for roughly 3 and a half years overall, for the first 10 months, I didn't do much, I met one guy in that time and he and I were still communicating up until about a year ago. I began my blog in late October 2011 but it stalled after my inaugural post which I re-edited several times over the course of the following year. The site tends to re-edit it themselves on a whim based upon whichever person reads it and decides some content or other is unacceptable and I continued toenjoy meeting a smorgasbord of throbbing meat throughout 2012.

I have noticed the horrible way the email centre has changed, how the flirts have become bland... I used to love sending hugs or kisses and not just winks. I used to like the filtered mail list. The pop-up list of views to the profile from the bottom right corner of the profile. I used to like editing out views from those I wasn't interested in.

I've really only noticed blogland for the last 14 months and in many ways do not like what I see. Thank goodness there are some very high quality people on here but they are only 5 - 7 percent of the total.
The site would be much better if they communictaed more and even asked members for their opinions on their new ideas.

The change allowing more than one image to be posted in a blog post was most welcome.
Thanks for the history of the site's changes; very informative.
And thanks for stopping by.

When I dropped down to being a standard member for a few months, I found it very restrictive and, despite the site's many glitches, I soon upgraded to gold.

That's a very measured account of the site's changes. Like you, I hate the drama on blogland and, in most cases, it seems entirely avoidable.

I'm very pleased you came back after initially leaving.
If only the site could sort out the bugs; surely it's not that difficult!

Allowing bloggers to post up to ten images on a post was a good move. If only the site could sort out the many glitches!

Though I don't like the message centre, you are right that conversations are kept rather than deleted as before with the old system. That's definitely an improvement.

The blogging part of the site not a revenue stream any more so the site does not care about it anymore like they used to care about it!
It's probably just as well that blogland is not a revenue stream for the site, otherwise even more new and silly changes would be launched in blogland!
