PANTYHOSE/TIGHTS   In the UK and a few other countries, pantyhose are called tights. The term pantyhose, because of the waste-to-feet design, stems from the combination of panties and hosiery. I don’t know why they are called tights. Invented in the 1950s, tights became popular from the 1960s. By the 1970s, tights became more popular than stockings in America. But since the mid-1990s, sales of tights for women are slowly declining. However, sales of tights for men are increasing. Below is a photo of a male model wearing tights - he doesn’t look particularly happy. Also below is Errol Flynn wearing tights in the 1938 film, The Adventures of Robin Hood. Nottingham seemed to have started the fashion for men wearing tights! I don’t like the look of tights but it’s none of my business what other people wear. On yesterday’s QI television programme, Stephen Fry advised that placing tights filled with cat litter in footwear overnight will make that footwear smell fresh the next morning! This is the best case for tights I’ve heard! Are you a fan of pantyhose/tights? Do you wear pantyhose/tights? If so, why and when do you wear pantyhose/tights?   |

I am NOT a fan of tights....they are quite frankly a pain in the ass.....I occasionally wear thick opaque ones if it's really cold but they annoy me so much I can't wait to get them off again.  ~~Anais Nin~~

It would have to be a very special occasion for me to wear pantyhose, though I did once at a fancy dress party.

I hate pantyhose and haven't worn them in nearly 20 years but love stockings that stay up by themselves (like the ones in my profile pics) and will happily wear them to weddings, funerals or orgies.

I'd wear anything to keep warm. I often get criticised for my choice of jumpers that I sometimes wear when it's cold.

In the UK, all pantyhose (whether sheer, opaque or whatever) are called tights. I do not know why we are out of line with the rest of the world and hardly ever say pantyhose.

do I like ..tights...have you read my blog....erotica begins and end with lingerie...and ends with heels....in fact the photo from sweet V is still one of my favourites... The only man that should be allowed to wear tights is and was ...Joe Namath... I utterly ADORE my tights, everything about them turns me on... hard to believe how many people dislike them. Stockings are so fiddly, have to keep yanking them up my thighs because they slip down... although no doubt you horny blokes love watching us adjusting our stockings so maybe that's why you prefer them
