TURN ON AND TURN OFF  Last night I had a conversation with my new girlfriend about the little things that really turn us on, plus the little things that turn us off. We decided to ignore people’s bodies and personalities, admittedly big turn-ons and turn-offs, to focus on those little things that just do it (or just don’t). My turn-ons are anklets, denim jeans, glasses, clit rings, nipple rings, freckles, lipstick, jumpers (or sweaters), frizzy hair, pyjamas, disco music playing, wedge shoes, sexual innuendo, leather, smiles, laughter, cleavage and, just ahead of the rest, fishnet. And my turn-offs are earrings, bras, thongs, belly bars, basques, negligees, false eyelashes, hippy dresses, tights, a brightly lit room, dungarees, PVC, vibrators, white shoes, split-crotch panties, bob cuts, onesies and, well ahead of the rest, leggings (especially with camel toe). I totally accept there’s no rhyme-and-reason to my list. Turn-ons and turn-offs are often beyond logic. I like cleavage but not bras! What are the little things that turn you on? And what are the little things that turn you off?  |

Turn ons include (but are not limited to) the following: facial stubble (especially a few days long), full-face smiles, good hygiene, good grooming, knee-length boardshorts, boxer briefs, a striding, purposeful walk, beautifully modulated voices, skilful kisser. Turn offs include (but are not limited to) the following: halitosis, poor grooming, micro-shorts, thongs (footwear or underwear), Speedos, slip-on shoes, chain-smoking, drunkenness, unruly hair, Technicolor clothing with busy patterns, exaggeratedly-deep voices, man-bags, mincing, scarves, nail polish, bling (a ring is fine, so is an earring or some piercings but bracelets and neck chains on men is just wrong, crucifixes accepted), hairpieces, no body hair, high-pitched or sarcastic laugh.
