CHILLAXING
CHILLAXING Sometimes I love doing absolutely nothing. I love days when I plan to do nothing and I do nothing – mission accomplished! A busy day may involve sitting on my sofa watching trash television or lying on my bed listening to the radio. A very busy day may involve going to a nearby cafe to read a newspaper, drink coffee and watch people. A very, very busy day may involve completing a crossword or going online to surf and blog. Do you like doing nothing or next-to-nothing on your days off? How do you chill and relax or, as some people now say, chillax? The British Prime Minister David Cameron has a reputation for chillaxing. He is not supposed to put in the long hours that past Prime Ministers put in. One of David Cameron’s friends said of the Prime Minister, “if there was an Olympic gold medal for ‘chillaxing’, he would win it”. Below is David Cameron chillaxing on a four-poster bed with his ministerial red box while his sister-in-law prepares for her wedding. |

My job is physical and stressful, occasionally I work 30hr, sometimes more. On my free time I like to lift heavy, two to three days/wk. That keeps me feeling good, I'm glad I can do so!

The comedian Mickey Flanagan does a routine about not doing anything - "proper fuck all" he calls it. For beginners he recommends watching a kettle boil ("Don't worry, despite what they tell you, it will boil"). It seems that we're brought up to believe that idleness is wrong, that we should find something to occupy our time productively. Which makes doing nothing such a forbidden delight... Particularly if you have a partner-in-crime lazing in bed next to you

Most of my days are spent in unwilling idleness. I don't have work, so I don't have the disposable income to choose how I spend my time. I use all three terms depending upon the person I may be discussing it with. Chilling is for our generation, chillaxing is for gen-Ys or later and relaxing is used when talking with old farts over 65. ~~Anais Nin~~

I can spend long hours minding the grandkids and when I get the chance I really enjoy doing little or nothing....listening to music with my feet up is a favourite or maybe a crossword or suduko. ~~Anais Nin~~

This is my first time hearing the word "chillaxed"! I don't really have a day off. as I'm retired and most of my days are off! With plenty to do, I do have the odd day that I do "nothing" so to speak!
| ||
|
On my days off which is today I like doing nothing at all. I might go out and check on my garden and do some watering. When your retired isn't everyday a day off.. hugs V Become a blog watcher sweet_vm

I love sudoku. Sudoku is infuriating; if you can't do one, you have to do another one to prove you can. And if you can do one, you have to do a tougher one for the challenge until you can't do one!

My week is the opposite of most people: I work two days and I'm off five. So for me, I'm "chillaxed" most of the time

Not enough opportunity is always the problem when relaxing.
