A BLOGGERS BASH  Bloggers bashes are regularly organised by active bloggers, but they all seem to be held in North America. I’ve not come across any bloggers bashes held in the UK or even Europe. I wonder, if a bloggers bash was held in Europe (in, say, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Barcelona, Berlin, Stockholm, Dublin, Copenhagen, Edinburgh, Athens or Brussels), whether any bloggers would attend and what their expectations would be. I would be interested to attend a bloggers bash and am intrigued at what activities go on at a bash. I wonder whether the bashes are just social gatherings where bloggers can chat, eat and drink, sleep and see the sights. I suspect more must happen given it’s a gathering of bloggers from a sex site, but maybe not. Also, I wonder, if meeting another blogger, whether the mystique of blogging would change for the better or worse. Online friendships seem different to offline friendships. Have you been to a bloggers bash? If so, what goes on at these bashes? If not, would you be tempted to go to a bloggers bash? If so, how far would you travel to attend a bash? Have you met another active blogger? And, if so, have you ever had sex with another blogger? |

Never been to a bloggers bash. The last one was in Seattle and next one for us is in San Diego this July. I have not heard of any over in your part of the world. I have been to a few Affairlook meet and greets and I am figuring it is the same. If you connect you connect and if you don't well you have made some good friends. I went to one in 2010.  It was in Saint Louis, Missouri and just by coincidence I was in a long distance relationship with a woman who lived there. (She was also a blogger here.) The Saint Louis Meet and Greet A lot of the other bloggers got together before hand, but I spent my time with my girl.  The actual bash was just an informal dinner at a casino bar, followed by more drinking and dancing at another bar across the hall. I don't think too many "hook ups" actually happened, but lasting friendships were made.  It was fun trying to guess who was who.  About a year later I met another active blogger and we spent an intimate weekend together. Oh and yet another one about a year after that!  (She was local and we did the FWB thing until she moved.)I've wanted to attend other bashes, but wasn't able to financially. I would love to travel to any part of the US to attend another.

There have been a few in the UK. There was one a couple of years ago in London, 8 or 9 bloggers. I might have met some bloggers... I might have met some bloggers

There haven't been any blogger bashes or meet and greets in Ireland for a long time...since well before I started blogging. I have met a few bloggers....and I'm not saying any more lol! ~~Anais Nin~~

I'm really looking forward to the SanDiego one, but then again, I live in San Diego! I would consider going to one that was far away, like in Europe, but only if I had a compelling enough reason (i.e. I had been commenting on someone's blogs in that area of the world and there were more than a couple of bloggers that I knew of online that were going). I think most of the people going are just bloggers and not sex addicts. If people hook-up I doubt that the rest of us would know about it. NO orgies planned... I've never been to a blogger's bash but if there was one and I knew for certain that someone I was keen to meet would be there, I'd travel any distance my finances would enable. I have met two blogger's who are occasionally active, depending upon their mood and engaged in sexual activity with the male. The male and female bloggers I met are not known to eachother and met them separately.

1. Yes, in the Weege, me and McMimi were there, and her hubby! We had a few beers, a blther, got merry, went home. 2. Yes, I'd do it again, any reasonable distance. 3. Yes, and no.

Have you been to a bloggers bash? If so, what goes on at these bashes? I have organized a few small gathering's. When I lived in Wichita, KS, (the belly button of America) we were on a crossroads. Anytime one of us knew a Blogger was passing through, we would try to arrange, at the very least a meal. I have traveled to meet other blogger's and some have traveled to meet me. I have never had sex at a Blogger's meet. I think it is more a meeting of the minds type of thing. Have you met another active blogger? And, if so, have you ever had sex with another blogger? I have met many many blogger's and yes I have had sex with a few, even married one.
