BLUE MONDAY

BLUE MONDAY  It’s Monday morning, work beckons! I’ve had a shower, brushed my teeth, had a shave, applied some deodorant and put my clothes on. Like many, I don’t like Monday mornings though the Monday-morning feeling starts on Sunday evening. My favourite times of the week are Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. Blue Monday was a New Order single released in 1983; it is the biggest selling 12” single of all time. Well over 1 million copies of the single were sold in the UK, that’s about one in fifty people in the country who own a copy of the single. I bought the single but, about ten years ago, I sold all my vinyl to move to CDs. Now I’m under pressure to get an Apple iPod or something similar. I’m slightly reluctant to get rid of my CDs. Though CD covers are less interesting than record covers, there is nothing of interest with an iPod or MP3 Player. I also quite like spending a little time rummaging through my CDs to find the song I want to hear only to stumble across another song I want to hear more. Generally, what are your worst and best times of the week? Do you still have a vinyl and/or CD collection of music? Do you have an iPod, MP3 Player or equivalent? My worst part of the week varies....it is the first morning in the week that I have to get up at 6.30 am. The best part is Sunday morning...when I can stay in bed as late as I like. I still have a CD collection....I like them and use them in the car were I have a 6 CD changer. There's an MP3 player on the phone but I rarely use it. ~~Anais Nin~~

Sunday evenings can be a bit gloomy, after all the fun of the weekend... But then I believe weekends start on Thursday lunchtime, so maybe I over indulge

Every day is Saturday to me . I actually never got into music until the iPods came around, now I have "tons" of music. Guess I was just lazy in the past

I still have all my vinyls...some of my parents 78's, a large CD collection, and cassette tapes. I mainly listen to CD's when not listening to the radio. I don't own the any of the newer technological gadgets!

1. All week. 2. Yes, I have hundreds of CDs, it's difficult to buy current salsa music in any other form. 3. Yes, I copy all my fav' tracks as MP3 or WMA files and play back on my phone. Remember that you're only theoretically renting music from eye-tunes.

My worst time this week was when I went into the vets and I was told my cat was dying.. Best time this week we won our curling game which means we are into the finals this week. More to follow later ty hugs V Become a blog watcher sweet_vm

Generally, what are your worst and best times of the week? I love Sundays. I try to make them lazy and relaxing. I don't know what my worst day is. I just look forward to Sunday. Do you still have a vinyl and/or CD collection of music? I have CD's. Do you have an iPod, MP3 Player or equivalent? I have an MP3 but never use it. I have downloaded all my CD's onto my laptop and computer. I also have a Pandora account. I can not get into the Apple products, though I just recently bought an Ipad Mini so I could Facetime with my aunt.

My worst times of the week is all day Friday... The love of my life (to date) died on a Friday a few years ago and they've made me miserable since. My best time of the week is Monday, I'm one who believes that weeks begin on Monday, not Sunday and so are fresh and not yet destroyed by bad shit happening. The vast majority of my vinyl and cd collection is still very much intact and includes the 12inch extended original version, not the half-assed 1988 remake of Blue Monday by New Order and I play it a few times a year. I have an MP3 player as part of my smartphone but fucking hate downloads because there's no extras to the downloaded track, no alternative versions, no sample tracks from the same artist, no sleeve art, no sleeve notes on the artist or band and worse still if the file is corrupted, you have to go through the palava of relocating it within a catalogue and the expense of a re-download. It's fucked! My most prized vinyl possession is a copy of Iron Maiden's Live After Death Album (see pic)  Do you do any head-banging to Iron Maiden?

Thank you for your condolences, spunky S I actually do some headbanging but prefer to try to harmonise (even though my singing voice can be quite shrill and not trained) with Bruce's (Dickinson) vocals and can sustain most of the notes on the album
