PAID SEX AND DRUGS AND ROCK AND ROLL

Prompted by [intendadiversion]’s recent blog [post 3349558] post, a few years ago, I attended a research seminar to listen to an economist give a talk on the demand and supply of male and female . His research focused on who advertise their services in newspapers or on the internet, and not on sex workers who work on the streets, etc.

The economist found that there were significant differences how male and female operate in the UK. He found that male tend to operate as sole traders, unlike female who are often managed by someone else. He argued that male have more control over their work than female .

The economist also found that male do better than if they are willing to have sex with married men, whereas the demand for female was mainly for heterosexual sex, quite often with married men.

The activities of prostitutes and drug dealers are about to give a £10 billion boost to the UK economy. The European Union has required the British government to calculate the economic activities of and drug-dealing, both illegal in the UK. The European Union has required that these illegal activities should be counted in calculating the size of the UK economy, because and drug dealing are legal activities in some other countries of the European Union (such as the Netherlands). The European Union wants to ensure that its annual budget (about £120 billion) is distributed fairly between its member states. It seems that the British economy is well in recovery because of sex and drugs (but not rock and roll)!

In your opinion, what’s the difference between an and a ?
Do you think and drug dealing should be legalised or not?

Escort agencies are companies that provide Escorts for clients, usually for sexual services. The agency typically arranges a meeting between one of its Escorts and the client at the customer's house or hotel room (out call), or at the Escort's residence (in call). Some agencies also provide Escorts for longer durations, who may stay with the client or travel along on a holiday or business trip.[1] While the Escort agency is paid a fee for this booking and dispatch service, the customer must negotiate any additional fees or arrangements directly with the Escort for any other services that are not provided by the agency involved, such as providing sexual services (regardless of the legality of these services).

Not real difference between prostitute and Escort except they don't really adversity for sex. Escort service makes the arrangement between clients and what ever happens after that is their business..

I do not think prostitution and drug dealing should be legalised.

I think escorts and prostitution are basically the same.
Drug dealing is a definite NO for me but it might protect prostitutes if it were legalized..plus more taxes for the government!

    sex for sale

    the oldest profession

I believe the prostitution is the catchall phrase for someone selling sex, where terms such as escort / call girl / hooker / are more related to the service they are providing - escort is a companion, - call girl more a quick liaison,a hooker quick sex
Thanks for dropping by, and thanks for your information on the difference between an escort and prostitute.

I think it's a flawed process and principal to research one type or nature of sex-worker from another... Economists should stick to discussing topics that they have on the job experience of and not differentiate between escorts who advertise their services in popular media and those who advertise at the kerbside. I'm confounded that there's a disparity between the two. I'm deeply sorry if my comments here or on intendadiversion's post has upset you in any way.

It seems like some perverse class distinction that is being made by the economist to only focus on supply and demand of escorts who seem less seedy than streetwalkers who are the dregs of humanity as far as many people are concerned. Many female escorts are being pimped-out by their husband's who might have gambling habits or boyfriends with drug habits and not working of their own volition. Men who get into the industry do it because they think that it's easy money and think they'll get to have sex all day. Never the case.

I'd like to know more about this economists research processes.

The difference between an escort and a prostitute is that in booking an escort, you are arranging to be seen in public at a function of some nature then taking them home for sex before their job is done... escorts dress better than prostitutes... More subtle makeup and discreet, more stylish clothing. Some prostitutes graduate to become escorts... Some people hire a prostitute and refer to them as an escort to sound classier to themselves.

prostitution is a therapeutic, stress-relief based service (like a massage) and should be legalised. drug dealing is harmful to physical and mental health and therefore should not be.
The economist in question was a small-scale researcher so he wasn't able to cover all different types of sex workers, where research findings may be very difficult. Also, he only looked at escorts in one UK city, which may or may not be typical. All research has flaws; it's best when researchers acknowledge the flaws.

More tax revenue for government is a strong case in itself to legalise prostitution. If legalised, health authorities could screen sex workers more effectively, as well as police authorities making their lives safer on the streets.

I think the dealing of certain soft drugs should be legalised; the so-called war on drugs by criminalising drugs is clearly not working.

It seems like a very reasonable opinion to me!
