SUNRISE OR SUNSET?

Above is a photograph of a sunrise on the River Gambia in West Africa, one of my most memorable sunrises I've ever witnessed. The River Gambia is a crazy river, especially its ferry.

I always pefer sunsets to sunrises because the night is still to come. A sunrise, though beautiful, means I have got up too early to face the day! A sunset, still beautiful, means I have lasted the day to enjoy the night!

Are you a sunrise or a sunset person?
What's the best sunset or sunrise you've ever seen?

Both! Particularly if I can have a couple of lunchtime beers followed by an afternoon nap

1. Both.
2. Sunset from my wee beach bar on Kololi beach, sunrise, I do a sunrise walk every summer near Embra, different every time.

Ah, the Barra ferry, happy, mental times for a toobab. Sadly, they've not maintained the ferries and it's now very intermittent. But that leads you on to the smaller passenger and goods only wooden boats which are yet another adventure...........

We don't get many spectacular sunrises or sunsets here.
I'm up early and go to bed late.
This is one of the first sunsets I managed to capture a couple months ago.

I love them both and can't elect a preference... They are all so beautiful that there has been none that has stood out above all others.
You're right, they're both beautiful. It's just that I don't like getting up very early in the morning so a sunrise loses its appeal as I'm slowly waking up.

That sounds like one great date, a sunrise and a sunset in Rome.

Early mornings are not good for me; I need a few coffees to appreciate life!

Like you, I find it hard to get up early to fully appreciate a sunrise.

The Barra ferry crossing was a very unusual experience compared to ferries I normally use. I have very fond memories of Kololi.
