BLOODY BT!

BLOODY BT!  Above is a photograph of London's BT Tower glowing pink for last October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. BT is the reason why I've not been on this site for a month. My broadband was provided by BT. It went down but after many unsuccessful attempts to get BT to fix it, I gave up on them. Affairlook's customer service is a marked improvement on BT's customer service. It takes ages to speak to a human being in a BT call centre in India, often getting cut off in the process. BT said they'd fix the problem in five days; they didn't. I then cancelled my contract with BT to search for a new broadband provider. I thought I would go to Virgin. There were issues whether I could get Virgin broadband even though I live in a residential area in the city centre of Nottingham. Virgin said they'd get in touch to see whether my apartment block was cabled. Virgin never got back to me. Sky were my next port of call. I never like doing business with Sky because of Rupert Murdoch, but I was told Murdoch only owns 10 per cent of Sky and he owns 30 per cent of Virgin (which I did not know). Yesterday after nearly two weeks of waiting, Sky finally connected me to broadband. One downside to Sky is that they use a BT phone line and they share the same customer service call centre as BT! Over the last month I could not get on the internet; I didn't want to log onto Affairlook at work because my computer movements are monitored by my employer. I've missed being on blogland and I've got a lot of catching up to do over the next few days! What have I missed on Affairlook? |

I imagine that Britain also has internet cafes... So my dear friend above has a point. I sometimes have to use them when my mobile connection is on the fritz... Anyway gorgeous S, it's wonderful to have you back and all your fans have missed you immensely.
