RUNNING IN HIGH HEELS  Julia Plecher currently holds the world record for the fastest woman to run 100 metres in high heels. Earlier this year, the German 18-year old ran 100 metres in 14.53 seconds beating another 99 participants; they all had to run wearing at least three-inch high heels. To put her world record in perspective, Usain Bolt has run the fastest 100 metres for a man at 9.58 seconds, and Florence Griffith-Joyner has run the fastest 100 metres for a woman at 10.49 seconds. Julia Plecher gave this piece of advice to would-be challengers to her world record: “You need shoes which ideally are closed in the front because you run on the front part of the foot. You have to be careful not to slip out. I think sandals would not be too appropriate.” Below is Julia Plecher relaxing after her world record sprint! On high heels, the social anthropologist Ted Polhemus observed: “... the precariousness of extremely high heels … has the effect of underlining vulnerability and dependence. Yet, at the same time, if the heel is sharpened into the stiletto style … completely contrary erotic connotations are also present: the feminine shoe as a weapon and a means of keeping men ‘under the heel’ of dominant, even dangerous women.” How fast, at your peak, could you run 100 metres? I have never been a fast short metre runner in my life. I always done long distance so I would have a cue what my time was. As for high heels love them but always be careful with the weather outside. I like a nice heel! Something like this. hugs V  Become a blog watcher sweet_vm

I have NO idea how fast my peak is...but I would do my damnedest to run faster than a bullet!! I like high heels on a woman...bought my wife 2 pairs of stilettos! We have a run here every year that they call a "red dress run". The men put on a red dress and run/walk 5 km's. I have not participated! The charity run proceeds go to the local food bank. Everyone wears a red dress (guys & girls). You can oogle "red dress run"

I have some catching up to do on your blog... MB bought me the most amazingly high high heels. They sit on the bedside table. I don't even walk in them but boy can I ride!

We both have no idea how fast we can run the 100, not fast though. We are both built for stamina rather than speed  Ellen likes high heals, you can see them in lots of our blog pictures, She doesn't wear them out much as she is already quite tall and with heals on she becomes taller than the average size guy. Nearly as talk as Tyler who stands 6ft 4" They make her look more than empowering, more like formidable when you consider she has a broad body structure, most guys find her intimidating especially as she has a strong sexy demeanor. Just too much woman for most to handle T doesn't wear heals

I can probably run 100metres in about 12.5 seconds on a good day... I wear them to entertain, not so much in public these days because I'm usually bolting to catch public transport and they aren't very impact resistant or carrying heavy groceries, also not conducive to wearing them but I like the way they make my legs look from behind, about 1.15metres long... I like how high heels turn men on and the admiration associated with being able to balance and walk gracefully in them. No real skill involved, just good fit and practice.  The only time I run now is to catch a bus.
