SUPER-THIN CONDOMS

SUPER-THIN CONDOMS

Condom Sizes is a website dedicated to “Find Your Best Fitting Condom”. They also test condoms. Many condom manufacturers are developing super-thin condoms to combat the common criticism that condoms diminish the sensation of sex for men.

The Japanese condom manufacturer, Sagami Rubber Industries Ltd, is the world’s market leader in developing super-thin condoms. It has just launched the thinnest condom in the world, the Sagami Original 0.01, with a thickness of 0.01 mm! At the moment, these condoms can only be bought in Tokyo. Five condoms can be bought for ¥1,200 (about £7 or US$12). They’re not cheap!

Above is a photograph of the Sagami Original 0.01 (on the left) next to another super-thin condom, the Okamoto Skinless Skin, with a thickness of 0.047 mm. Other popular super-thin condoms are the Crown Skinless Skin (0.047 mm), Durex Sensi Thin (0.048 mm) and Trojan Ultra Thin (0.06 mm). The average thickness of a human hair is 0.06 mm.

Sagami Rubber Industries Ltd spent ten years developing the Sagami Original 0.01; over 20,000 condoms were put through a range of tests, including tests with volunteer couples. However, it is likely that the thickness of this condom will be surpassed by another super-thin condom. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has awarded US$1m in research grants to develop condoms that enhance sexual pleasure. Research is being undertaken around the world. For example, the University of Manchester has been funded to develop a condom made of atom-thin graphene; the University of Oregon has been funded to develop a ‘shape-memory’ condom that will change shape during sex; and Apex Medical Technologies has been funded to develop a condom made from collagen fibrils taken from cattle tendons.

Have you had sex using a super-thin condom? If so, what was it like?
If needed, what condoms do you use?
Would you volunteer to test condoms?
How do condoms make a difference sexually?

1. Yes, a nuisance getting it on to be honest, be careful rolling it down, but the improvement in sensitivity was notable.
2. Normally good old durex, sometimes non-latex, depends on my partner.
3. No, probably not.
4. A significant reduction in sensitivity, a necessary evil, but there are always fun work-rounds!

1. Durex ultrathin. Certainly better than the others.
2. I'm sticking with ultrathin - they seem to be strong and protective
3. I dread to think what a condom test would entail. Probably some very techy machine that would frighten the socks off me - or is that the sock off me, lol!
4. The sensation is noticeably reduced, but the plus side is that it really slows down the male orgasm, meaning much more pleasure for the woman - but the man needs to be fit!!!

Unless you have one steady monogamous partner a condom is essential.

warm xx

I'm a Durex man as well, usually ribbed condoms.

In the past I would switch back & forth from the Ultra Thin Trojan & Lifestyle condoms(mainly Trojan though). I visited the adult store and came across the Kimoto condoms and they instantly became my #1 choice. Well recently I noticed a newer conerron on the shelves made by Trojan. Natural Lamb! It looks weird, and feels like no other condom I have ever tried. With that being said, I can honestly say that this condom gives the best feeling during sex. It didn't feel like I was fucking rubber, I could actually feel pussy! If anyone has a condom of choice I would love to hear about it and try it out.
I use Durex ribbed condoms. They seem easy to put on and I can pretend the ribs are giving extra pleasure to the woman!
