DENTAL HYGEINE

Above is a woman attempting a world record for the difficult method of brushing teeth. Guinness World Records only recognises one world record involving toothbrushes. One Russian man, Grigori Fleicher, had a collection of 1,320 different toothbrushes as verified on 5 November 2008.

RecordSetter recognises many different toothbrush world records, including the tallest tower of humans wearing one sock and brushing teeth whilst listening to Michael Jackson's Thriller album held by seven attendees of Villanova’s iD Tech computer camp in Pennsylvania. One very keenly contested record is largest toothbrush circle, awarded for the most people brushing each other’s teeth. The world record was first set by the American comedian Jimmy Fallon who organised the largest toothbrush circle on his television show, only for the record to be overtaken by Bigfish Creative from Memphis. But the record was later snatched from the Bigfish team by a group of 126 people from Camp Kaylie in Wurtsboro in the state of New York. A few months ago, the Bigfish team organised another attempt at the world record, but I can’t find out whether they are the new world record-holders.

Special mention must be made to Brian Pankey, an American juggler who, according to RecordSetter, holds the world records for the longest time brushing teeth while spinning a basketball on the toothbrush, the most consecutive catches juggling two tennis balls while lying down and spinning a toothbrush, the most over-the-thumb pen spins while spinning a toothbrush on one finger in 30 seconds, the longest time to balance a keyboard on the tip of a thumb while spinning a toothbrush in the other hand while kneeling, the most consecutive golf ball bounces on a claw grip hammer while spinning a toothbrush, the longest time to spin a toothbrush on a finger while saying “you talkin’ to me?”, the most consecutive times to curl a spinning plate in 15 seconds while spinning a toothbrush with the other hand, the longest time to spin a basketball on a finger while spinning a toothbrush on the other hand, the most catches juggling two balls in one hand while brushing teeth ad spinning a basketball on a toothbrush handle tip, and the longest time spinning a toothbrush on one finger while spinning a pillow on the other hand. As of August this year, Brian Pankey held 3,200 world records!

For some reason, I hate brushing my teeth, though I do reluctantly clean my teeth once-or-twice a day. I use mouthwash regularly, but my dental floss rarely gets a run-out.

How many times do you brush your teeth?
Do you use mouthwash, dental floss, fresh breath mints and/or tooth picks?
Have you attempted or broken any world records?

I sure hope that's her own toothbrush she's using otherwise that's just unhygienic... I'm sure you'd make an excellent "toothbrush", spunky

I usually brush my teeth 2 or 3 times a day, I use all the dental hygiene effects listed above except dental floss because my teeth are very tight together and I find it impossible to get floss or tape between them. Don't think I haven't given it a red-hot go on a lot of occasions but the floss gets shredded and snaps just trying to get it in.

I have never attempted any world records.
I've been told it's her only toothbrush!

Dental floss is something I don't do but feel I should (or at least my dentist feels I should do!).
