A HALLOWEEN JACK-O’-LANTERN

Tonight is Halloween. The word can be traced back to the middle of the eighteenth century to refer to All Hallows’ Eve. Since the mid-sixteenth century, All Hallows’ Eve is a Christian commemoration dedicated to remembering the dead (including hallowed saints). Halloween is almost certainly influenced by earlier pagan Celtic festivals. It was only during the nineteenth century, with the mass arrival of Scottish and Irish immigrants, that Halloween became widely celebrated in North America.

In England, the celebration of Halloween soon declined in popularity by the early seventeenth century, with its bonfire-lighting tradition being appropriated by the increasingly popular celebration of Guy Fawkes Night on 5 November. But over recent decades, Halloween is increasingly celebrated in England, undoubtedly reflecting American and commercial influences. Halloween is now a highly commercially lucrative public holiday, second only to Christmas.

Halloween celebrations include lighting bonfires, trick-or-treating, making Jack-O’-Lanterns from pumpkins, attending costume parties, and watching horror films. I have no bonfire to light, I live in a fortress block of apartments where trick-or-treaters cannot reach me, I have not carved and decorated a pumpkin, I have not been invited to a costume party, and I get too scared watching horror films. I am going to have a quiet night in, get my ironing board out and iron some shirts for work!

How will you celebrate Halloween?
What will you do, or what did you do, on Halloween?
Do you like ironing?

In past years, we used to dress up and go out partying. We used to carve pumpkins also but not anymore. Now we just stay home and hand out candy to the "candy beggers"! I don't iron, but the wife "loves" to iron...laundry on Fridays, she irons every Saturday morning.
Do you like pumpkin pie?..........I think I lost my desire,,,

How will you celebrate Halloween?
I won't.

What will you do, or what did you do, on Halloween?
Stayed home and locked my gate so children wouldn't come in.

Do you like ironing?

I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary. I'm not a big fan of ironing but I do it if I want my bed to look nice (I iron my monochrome doona cover, sheets and pillowcases to make my bed inviting for "guests". I rarely iron clothes anymore, I used to be very obsessive with ironing my jeans in a just-so way up until about ten years ago, then thought they looked better a bit shabby.

That's a very weird picture... Is it someone holding their arse wide open and their cock hanging down between their legs? Fuck! Lol.
I can't fully make out the pumpkin carving except that some one is holding their arse open with their hands!

There are a few people who like ironing; they say it's therapeutic. My therapy is to do anything other than iron!
