NAKED OF QUEEN NEARLY SHOT DEAD!


Yesterday, the Sunday Express, a UK newspaper owned by the pornographer Richard Desmond, revealed:
“WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Prince Andrew held at gunpoint in Buckingham Palace terror
ARMED police pointed their guns at Prince Andrew and ordered him to “put your hands up and get on the ground” after mistaking him for an intruder in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. For a tense half a minute the Queen’s 53-year-old was in danger of being shot dead by officers paid to protect him and his family.”

Last Wednesday, Prince Andrew was taking an early evening walk in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. He was mistaken for an intruder by armed police officers; an intruder did enter Buckingham Palace two days earlier. A Buckingham Palace insider claimed that the two officers pointed their guns at Prince Andrew and asked him to identify himself. The Prince no doubt did the “Don’t you know who I am?” routine. Clearly the police didn’t; otherwise they would have shot him!

The Royal Family, for some reason, is still very popular in the UK. It is even claimed they boost the economy through tourism and visits around the world, though very little evidence is offered to support these claims. I am a republican. And, though I do not support the death penalty or murder, the only effective way to get rid of royalty is to kill them all so they cannot regroup. During the Russian Revolution, the Romanov royal family, headed by Tsar Nicholas II, were all rounded up by the Bolsheviks and shot in a forest in 1918. What else could Lenin have done?

What do think of the UK’s Royal Family?
Should the UK and, for that matter, Australia, Canada and New Zealand, become republics?
Have you ever met royalty?

The police have since apologised to Prince Andrew, though claimed that no guns were pointed at him.

 I heard about Prince Andrew on the news.
I have not personally met royalty.
I myself think the Royal Family is all about $$$$$ now-days. All commonwealth countries have their own government leaders. I also think it's time for some privacy for the Royals. Let them just live their lives.

I think they need more privacy because it's not healthy living in that goldfish bowl. But UK royalty could become more like Dutch or Swedish royalty - more low-key. They do have some choices.

    I have sort of met royalty... I went to Darling Harbour when the Queen and Phil came on tour in 2001... I didn't get to interact with them directly but the old boy eyeballed me with some fascination... Looked squarely into my eyes.
William is Charles in the making, but the pressure is on him!
