PHUBBING  Phubbing is "the act of snubbing in a social setting by looking at your phone instead of paying attention". Phubbing is when one person texts, phones or plays with their mobile phone while socialising with another person. Stop Phubbing have launched a website to campaign against phubbing. It claims that phubbing “has been labeled by etiquette advisors as ‘the end of civilization’”. The website claims that “an average will see 36 cases of phubbing per dinner session”, “97% of people claim their food tasted worse while being a victim of phubbing”, and “92% of repeat phubbers go on to become politicians”. New York is the phubbing city of the world; Toronto is bottom of the phubbing cities’ league! The website has a hall of shame for phubbers, including celebrity phubbers, and offers advice on how to prevent phubbing. Alternatively, there's the Pulp Fiction way of dealing with phubbers!
