APOCALYPTIC BREASTS

On seeing Elizabeth Taylor for the first time, Richard Burton said:
"She was so extraordinarily beautiful that I nearly laughed out loud. She [was] famine, fire, destruction and plague ... the only true begetter. Her breasts were apocalyptic, they would topple empires before they withered ... her body was a miracle of construction.... She was unquestionably gorgeous. She was lavish. She was a dark, unyielding largesse. She was, in short, too bloody much...."

Richard Burton also said of Elizabeth Taylor, “I love her mindlessly and hopelessly” and “I miss her like food”. Of her sexuality, he described her as “beautiful beyond the dreams of pornography” and “an eternal one-night stand”. Richard Burton was good with words!

Elizabeth Taylor said of Richard Burton, “Richard is a very sexy man. He's got that sort of jungle essence that one can sense. It's not the way he combs his hair, not the things he wears; he doesn't think about having muscles. It's what he says and thinks.” Elizabeth Taylor was not so good with words!

In the 1963 Cleopatra film, Elizabeth Taylor played Cleopatra and Richard Burton played Mark Antony, Cleopatra’s lover. Their on-screen affair was duplicated off-screen, an affair that was denounced by the Vatican. They later went on to marry each other twice and divorce each other twice! Elizabeth Taylor was married eight times to seven husbands, plus she was engaged to two other men. She turned down Howard Hughes' marriage proposal. She also had numerous romances, including dates with Henry Kissinger and Frank Sinatra.

In August 1984, on being told of Richard Burton’s death, Elizabeth Taylor fainted. In March 2011, at her own request, Elizabeth Taylor’s funeral started 15 minutes late, because, as her representative said, "she even wanted to be late for her own funeral". On her death, Elizabeth Taylor’s jewellery collection was reportedly worth $150 million. Richard Burton gave her the 33-carat Krupp Diamond, which she wore every day, and the 69-carat Taylor-Burton Diamond.

Their relationship suggests that Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton were addicted to each other, as well as to alcohol. After their second divorce, Richard Burton said “You can’t keep clapping a couple of sticks [of dynamite] together without expecting them to blow up”.

Are you addicted to anyone?
How good are you at giving and receiving compliments?
What has been the best compliment that has been paid to you?
What has been the best compliment that you have paid someone?

I don't know that I could be addicted to anyone but when it comes to passion, MB and I have it.
I am great at giving them and do ok at getting compliments. I teach people how to accept them as most people have a horrible habit of denouncing a compliment. That not only insults the complimentor but diminishes your own worth.
I give out compliments like smiles so I can't be judge to the best compliment...the receiver would have to decide. I do know, I have made people smile unexpectedly because I will notice something about them and let them know I find it pleasant.

There is a difference between a good BJ and a bad BJ.

Elizabeth Taylor was absolutely beautiful, wasn't she?

Are you addicted to anyone? I am most definitely addicted to my Master. That may sound unhealthy, but more than anything, I think that is a part of the M/p dynamic.

How good are you at giving and receiving compliments? I give compliments freely, and enjoy doing so. I deliberately look for things to compliment people on, because I think it makes the world a nicer place, the more good you can see around you. HOWEVER, I am not so good at accepting compliments myself. lol Like most women, I need to learn to just smile and say "Thank you", rather than try to down-play compliments.

What has been the best compliment that has been paid to you? Many people have told me that I make them feel comfortable/welcome/able to be themselves/able to speak freely without fear of being judged. I believe that is the highest compliment I can be paid ..... that I allow people the freedom, safety and security to be the most authentic version of themselves.

What has been the best compliment that you have paid someone? It wasn't a verbal compliment as such, but when I knelt at his feet and whispered "Master" for the very first time, I was handing over my body and soul, and placing that man in a position higher than any other man had ever held in my life ... and I was making a lifelong commitment to keep him in that place of honour, for always, no matter what.

I can take compliments though I've been told I need to give out compliments more.

It's great when you know that you've influenced someone in a positive way.

Ok, perfect example ...
My immediate response was to say, "It is sad that he doesn't think so."
But instead, I shall smile and say "Thank you Dr S."

How good are you at giving and receiving compliments? Way better at giving than receiving
What has been the best compliment that has been paid to you? I don't remember, but someone said recently, on one of my blog posts, they liked my "delicious madness"
What has been the best compliment that you have paid someone? That they made me a better ME

It's odd that most of us are better at giving than receiving compliments, don't you think?
