Why isn’t a blow-job called a suck-job or a lick-job? I’ve never come across any blowing in the act of fellatio. Fellatio derives from the Latin term, fellātus. In Latin, fellātus means to suck. The person sucking can be called a fellator (if male) or a fellatrix (if female).

Does anyone know why the act of fellatio is called a blow-job?
Has anyone blown or been blown?

 I think I must give really shit blow jobs.
Most guys seem to prefer sucking, but I tend more to lick, flick, and roll my tongue around beneath the head, along the shaft etc. I suck when he starts to cum, of course, but not very much at any other time.

 I've often wondered why it is called a blow job... clearly a "suck" job would be more accurate for the way most are performed. The only part of the act close to being a "blow" is at the end, when the cum "blows" out of the cock.

"Bite-jobs"....more common than you may think I have given a few, but never on a cock that wasn't already erect. I've never given them without being asked, though.... I'd imagine that unsolicited bites would not be appreciated
