TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING

What is in the bag on the chair?

In a recent interview to promote his new film on the life of Liberace, Behind the Candelabra, Michael Douglas revealed that his throat cancer, human papillomavirus (HPV) was caused by oral sex. Below is the extract of the The Guardian's interview of Michael Douglas by Xan Brooks:

"The throat cancer, I assume, was first seeded during those wild middle years, when he drank like a fish and smoked like the devil. Looking back, knowing what he knows now, does he feel he overloaded his system?
'No,' he says. 'No. Because, without wanting to get too specific, this particular cancer is caused by HPV, which actually comes about from cunnilingus.'
From what? For a moment I think that I may have misheard.
'From cunnilingus. I mean, I did worry if the stress caused by my 's incarceration didn't help trigger it. But yeah, it's a sexually transmitted disease that causes cancer.' He shrugs. 'And if you have it, cunnilingus is also the best cure for it.'"

After the interview was published on 3 June, a spokesman for Michael Douglas claimed that his cancer was not caused by oral sex and that the actor was talking generally about HPV and not specifically about his own cancer. The Guardian stood by its story and released the recording of the interview:

Xan Brooks: "Do you feel, in hindsight, that you overloaded your system? Overloaded your system with drugs, smoking, drink?"
Michael Douglas: "No. No. Ah, without getting too specific, this particular cancer is caused by something called HPV, which actually comes about from cunnilingus."

Why is it that the good things in life are bad for your health?

I'm thinking of eating too much cheese, chips, chocolate, red meat, Indian curry and pizza; drinking too much beer, coffee, wine and Pepsi; smoking cigarettes; driving at speed; and having unprotected sex and oral sex!

And why is it that the bad things in life are good for your health?

I'm thinking about taking lots of exercise; eating salad, bran and celery; drinking cranberry juice; taking spoonfuls of cod liver oil; and rinsing with mouthwash.

Are there any good things which are good for your health?

I can only think of eating fish and Brussels sprouts!

Great! Thank you Michael Douglas for giving guys another reason not to go down on a woman. "Well I would love to lick your lovely clit but I don't want to get cancer of the throat. So instead would you put my cock in your mouth like a sword swallower?"

There is a difference between a good BJ and a bad BJ.

I love cauliflower too. I can make a mean cauliflower cheese - adding English mustard is the key.

I think most men will ignore Michael Douglas's comments. Well, at least I hope they do!
