LOSING PERSPECTIVE?

LOSING PERSPECTIVE?

Recently, I came across three incidents where perspective seemed to be somewhat lost or, maybe, each had a point in a funny sort of way.

One English football club, West Bromwich Albion, visited China on a friendship tour in May 1978. On visiting the Great Wall, one footballer, John Trewick, was asked what he thought of the Great Wall. He replied, "Impressive, isn't it? But once you've seen one wall, you've seen them all"!

While in Amsterdam on tour, Justin Bieber visited the Anne Frank House that commemorates the Jewish wartime diarist who hid in the house to avoid being captured and sent to a concentration camp by the Nazis. The singer, aged 19, wrote in the museum’s visitor’s book, “Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber”!

One Nottingham phoned 999, the emergency phone number in the UK, after Nani, a Manchester United player, was shown the red card by the referee in a Champions League game against Real Madrid. The , who just happened to support Manchester United, reported Nani’s sending off as a crime and demanded that the police arrest the referee!

Do you ever lose perspective?
If so, when was the last time you lost it?
Are you a belieber?
Have you visited the Great Wall of China?

PS. It is a myth that you can see the Great Wall of China from the Moon. You cannot. Who starts these stories?

I enjoyed the story about the teen asking police to intervene at a football match. Nice try.
I am an all sides kind of person. This wasn't always so. I believe through age and experience one gains wisdom and prospective. That said, there are certain social injustices that may send me to the wrong end of reason. I am sure I blogged about it, what ever it may have been...
Beiber...UHG! I am sure this is my age talking but...what a spoiled no talent brat. No class. But, I will concede, he is young.
The Great Wall...I have not been. China is one of the few places I have not ventured.

There is a difference between a good BJ and a bad BJ.

I too have not visited China, though I've been to Hong Kong before it was given back to China.
I often lose perspective shouting at the news on television!

I'm not a big fan of Justin Bieber, but I'm not really his target audience!
