GOOGLE AND ORAL SEX

Google are now pedalling its services to health bodies worldwide. In the words of Google:

We have found a close relationship between how many people search for flu-related topics and how many people actually have flu symptoms. Of course, not every person who searches for ‘flu’ is actually sick, but a pattern emerges when all the flu-related search queries are added together. We compared our query counts with traditional flu surveillance systems and found that many search queries tend to be popular exactly when flu season is happening. By counting how often we see these search queries, we can estimate how much flu is circulating in different countries and regions around the world.

Google have published its research findings, as a letter, in a prestigious science journal – see Ginsberg J, Mohebbi M H, Patel R S, Brammer L, Smolinski M S & Brilliant L (2009) Detecting influenza epidemics using search engine query data Nature 457 pp1012-1014.

Google are making plans to sell search data to health bodies so that they can be better prepared to counter such flu epidemics.

But what will Google do with this search data on oral sex:

'Husband won’t do cunnilingus' gets 12,700,000 results and 'Boyfiend won’t do cunnilingus' gets 11,900,000 results. Don’t get married?

'Wife won’t do fellatio' gets 10,400,000 results but 'Girlfriend won’t do fellatio' gets 253,000,000 results. Get married?

'Don’t enjoy giving blowjobs' gets 323,000,000 results but 'Don’t enjoy receiving blowjobs' only gets 63,000,000 results. Give rather than receive?

'Oral sex is nice' gets 4,710,000 results but 'Oral sex is nasty' gets 5,050,000 results. Don’t receive and don’t give oral sex?

Are you happy that Google is making its way into health care?
Should we charge Google for providing information about ourselves for them to make money out of our information?
How do you explain the search results for oral sex?

Never had a BJ!
Your photo is my favorite foreplay if I could only get the chance!

Brilliant! I wish google had been around 20 years ago when we were doing research about sexual positions among Amish and other passive religions.

There is a difference between a good BJ and a bad BJ.

Hahahahahaha!! In one of my occasional moments of grumpyness I wrote to gurgle and advised them that unless they started paying me for the information they were taking without my knowledge or permission I would use a different search engine. That was about 5 years ago! Of course, I still use groggle!

There are a few men who claim they can give themselves a bj. I can't and have tried!

I am intrigued about the sexual positions of passive religions!

There's an irony how you can rip into Affairlook on this site and allow the post, but if you post a picture of a cat it gets censored!

Clearly Google take a long time to reply to your letter. You must be more patient!
