I AM A DJ

I AM A DJ

Here is DJ Miki Love, a Romanian DJ who often works topless in various clubs around the world.

When I was younger, I wanted to be a pop star, a television presenter or a DJ. I did not achieve my career dreams, though I did unsuccessfully try to be a pop star. My 30th birthday was a watershed moment when I realised I was not going to achieve my childhood dream, though I am happy with my career choice.

A recent survey from the online professional network site, LinkedIn, found that 30 per cent of American employees have their childhood dream career or job. Of those who don’t have their dream job, 36 per cent of those surveyed still fantasise about obtaining it.

LinkedIn also revealed that the top childhood dream job is a professional or Olympic athlete for men and a teacher for women.

Other popular dream jobs included pilots, scientists, lawyers, astronauts, novelists, vets, doctors and nurses.

What did you want to be when you were much younger?
Do you have your childhood dream job?
What work would you want to do now if you no longer do what you do?

”I am a DJ, I am what I play” is a line from David Bowie’s 1979 single, DJ. I still dream about being a DJ!

I wanted to be a Psychologist or Psychiatrist. I could not finish pre-med as it made me queasy when we had to stick someone with a needle so I became a psychologist..no needles. I am a wonderful psychologist but I have no patients for bull. I closed up shop and became a tax preparer and bookkeeper. Much more enjoyable.
I still dabble as a shrink from time to time. I am analytical in my thinking so I don't think I can stop even if I truly wanted. I was able to let go of much and start living the salt life. I am doing exactly what I want now.

There is a difference between a good BJ and a bad BJ.

Policeman or fireman.
I failed eye test because I am considered color-blind for policeman.
I wore glasses and failed to become fireman.
I worked for 37 1/2 years and don't want to do any work now!

That's quite a jump from psychology to taxation!
I'm pleased you're doing exactly what you want now.

My dream of a DJ was more of a 1970s/1980s DJ but several have now been arrested for various abuses. Perhaps it was just as well I was not a DJ!

I also would like not to work, or at least not do the paperwork attached to my work!

That's an interesting career history.
An activist is cool, assuming you're on the right side!

She can be hired for your birthday party; it would be a popular party!
