LONG CHOCOLATE WEEKEND  One good thing about Easter is the bank holidays, which in the UK mean public holidays. They’re called bank holidays because banks were the first to give their workers such holidays. Rather than a two-day weekend, many people are enjoying four-day weekend, though the weather is a little unseasonal at the moment. Why do the dates of Easter weekend keep changing from year to year? Surely Jesus Christ died on a specific date! It should be the same weekend. It’s early this year. The best thing about Easter weekend is chocolate. I’ve only had one Easter egg given to me this year so far, so it’s not been a bumper harvest on the chocolate front. I guess it didn't help that I've given no Easter eggs out this year. But I love chocolate Easter eggs, particular if there’s a chocolate bar inside. My favourite chocolate bar is Snickers, though I preferred it when they were called Marathon. An Easter egg with a Snickers bar in is heaven. I haven’t opened my egg yet but there’s nothing on the extensive packaging suggesting a Snickers bar lies await. Belgium seems to have the reputation for the best chocolate in the world. But can I plug Kazakh chocolate? It is surprisingly good chocolate! There are occasional moves to prevent British-made chocolate, because of its low cocoa content, from calling itself chocolate in the European Union. It is chocolate just as Affairlook is an online sex dating site! What sort of chocolate do you like – dark, milk, white etc? What is your favourite chocolate bar? How many Easter eggs did you receive and give? |

Dark is the best but occasionally I enjoy a good Swiss White. As to a favorite...I am currently in favor of a dark chocolate with sea salt. No eggs at our house. It was a Happy Passover for us. I hope you get your Snickers bar.

I like "all" chocolate! Wonderbar is my favorite bar. Second is Coffee Crisp and Kit Kat! Our Orthodox Easter isn't until May 5th this year.

Jesus died on the Friday after Passover, which is based on the Hebrew Calendar and moon cycles. My mom had a birthday on Easter when she was very little (like maybe 2). It didn't fall on that day again until her 50th, and it's happened once again since then. I like milk chocolate.  Milky Way!  I got one egg this year. It had Pez flavored candy and a "special announcement"!
