A moresexdaily.com survey of female orgasms found that just under 40 per cent of women fake, or have faked, an orgasm.

Most women (56 per cent) fake an orgasm because they want to please their partners; some women (29 per cent) fake an orgasm because they are self-conscious how long it takes to get aroused; and other women (25 per cent) fake an orgasm because they think they cannot achieve orgasm.

The survey also found that majority of men would prefer their partners not to fake an orgasm.

I have tried to fake an orgasm, claiming that orgasm can happen without ejaculation, because I was getting decreasingly aroused after a time. My fakery was far from convincing at the time!

 I don't think I can tell if someone has faked an orgasm either!
