ARE YOU A SEXTREMIST?  A few days ago, three extremists were arrested for a topless protest against the former Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi. Berlusconi is a very controversial politician, as well as being a media tycoon, the owner of AC Milan football club, and billionaire playboy who hosted the infamous ‘bunga bunga’ sex parties. The three Ukrainian women lunged at Berlusconi as he was trying to vote in the parliamentary elections in his home town outside Milan. Berlusconi is seeking yet another political comeback in Italian politics, possibly as a way of avoiding corruption charges against him. The three women had the slogan, ‘Basta Silvio’, daubed on their topless bodies, called Berlusconi “a dirty pervert”, and urged people not to vote for “someone who should be in prison”. The women are members of the Ukraine-based FEMEN group, a feminist direct action group based on sextremism. Below is how FEMEN describe sextremism: FEMEN: FEMEN - is a global women's movement FEMEN - is the name of the scandal famous organization of topless women activists, who defend with their breast sexual and social equality in the world. FEMEN – is the ability to feel the problems of the world, beat it with the naked truth and bare nerve. FEMEN – is a hot boobs, a cool head and clean hands. Be FEMEN - means to mobilize every cell of your body on a relentless struggle against centuries of slavery of women! FEMEN – is an ideology of SEXTREMISM. FEMEN - is a new ideology of the women's sexual protest presented by extreme topless campaigns of direct action. FEMEN – is sextremism serving to protect women's rights, democracy watchdogs attacking patriarchy, in all its forms: the dictatorship, the church, the sex industry. mystelle, I'm impressed with your activism. Like you, I am very sceptical whether a man can be a feminist. But a man can hold feminist views. x

My parents were also Thatcherites and blamed trade unions for everything, while forgetting that my father was in the National Farmers Union! We need trade unions to check the excesses of big business and also governments in the pockets of big business.

I'm moving to Canada if there's nothing to protest about, plus I can get to see lots of ice hockey! I think they are just professional protesters(to get out of going to work) I personally don't protest unless it's in my own bedroom!
