Zombie sex can be seen as an act of necrophilia. It is dead boring, while sex with your brother or sister is relatively boring!

But zombie sex is also sex in your sleep.

Sleep sex, known as sexsomnia, is a condition in which a person will engage in sexual acts while still asleep. Sexsomnia is a recognised sleep disorder, similar to talking and walking in your sleep.

In 2005, a Canadian court acquitted a man of sexual assault because he was diagnosed with the sleep sex disorder, sexsomnia. Also in 2005, a man from Britain was cleared of three counts of r ape because of this sleeping disorder. In Australia, a woman was reported as leaving her house at night and having sex with strangers while sleepwalking.

The television drama, House, once had an episode dealing with sexsomnia.

 I used to talk in my sleep when I was married.
If I was having trouble getting to sleep, I would ask my husband to tell me about his day, and I would be out like a light.
It was a standing joke between us that although I was sound asleep, I would still verbally respond to him. If he ever wanted to ask me something, and elicit a "yes" answer, he would ask me when I was sleeping. Apparently, I was a much more agreeable person while I was asleep, and the next day he would tell me some of the things I had agreed to. lol
