From people we've met on this site, men seem more keen on clitoris piercing than women, which is perhaps not surprising as men don't have a clitoris to pierce!



According to Vale and Juno in their Modern Primitives book, clitoris piercing is of relatively recent origin. Clitoris piercing is also not very common. Jim Ward, an American body-piercer and founder of the gay S & M New York Motorcycle Club, has only performed about six clitoris piercings in over 10 years.

Far more common than the piercing of the clitoris is the piercing of the clitoral hood - see photo above. It is claimed that a clit ring can make sex far more stimulating.

The couple of female friends I know who have had clit rings said it did hurt slightly having a clit ring but the discomfort soon wore off.
