POST-ORGASM

The refractory period is the recovery phase after orgasm during which it is physiologically impossible for a man (or woman) to have additional orgasms.

According to research, the average refractory period for men is 30 minutes, though the time varies considerably between men. 18-year-old men have an average refractory period of about 15 minutes, while men in their 70s take about 20 hours. Research has shown that some men take days to recover from orgasm and a few men need no time to recover before having sex again.

Do you need a rest after orgasm?
If so, what is your recovery time after orgasm?

It is widely believed that women do not have a refractory period and are capable of multiple orgasms. However, many women need a rest after sex because further sex is not arousing or is even painful due to clitoral hypersensitivity after orgasm.

Have you had multiple orgasms?
If so, what is the most number of repeated orgasms that you have had?

Post-orgasm men are often uninterested in sex; the penis may be hypersensitive making sex painful. Research suggests that hormones released during ejaculation repress the hormone, dopamine, which is responsible for sexual arousal. These two hormones, oxytocin and prolactin, are the reasons why men need a rest after orgasm.

This means that men should no longer apologise for having a rest after sex; they can blame their hormones!

Serge Stoleru, a French government scientist, found that men fall asleep after orgasm because their brains shut down. His research found that the cerebral cortex, the thinking part of the brain, switches off during orgasm and other parts of the brain tell the brain to deactivate all sexual desire after orgasm.

This explains why men have problems thinking after having sex. But it cannot explain why men have problems thinking before having sex!

Do men think with their cocks when sex is on the agenda?

There are a lot variables here. Not sure if this study is valid. LOL

Recover time all depends on when the last time you had it.

Then it depends what she does to you when you are catching your breath.

Further study is required.

I do find tho I can think better after sex because before I have it that is all I think about.

This is not meant to offend any one in any way.

I know I have a relatively long recovery time, which can be a bit frustrating sometimes.
