WHAT ARE YOUR POLITICS?

WHAT ARE YOUR POLITICS?

Some people say it's best to avoid talking politics with people; but we like talking about politics.

Some people say that politics and sex don't mix, but John F Kennedy (and Marilyn Monroe?), Bill Clinton (and Monica Lewinsky), John Profumo (and Christine Keeler), and even John Major (and Edwina Currie) would perhaps disagree.

We are looking forward to the Tuesday's American presidential election.

What are your politics?
Are you right-wing or left-wing? Are you conservative or liberal?
Do you get on or not get on with people because of their politics?

There is a brilliant site called Political Compass, which, after answering some questions, tells you what your politics are. Have a go!

Political Compass measures your politics how left-wing or right-wing you are and how libertarian or authoritarian you are.

If you took the test, how are your politics described?
Are you a Ronald Reagan, a Margaret Thatcher, a Fidel Castro, an Adolf Hitler, a Joseph Stalin, a Mahatma Gandhi, a Hugo Chavez, a Nelson Mandela, a Karl Marx, or an Ayatollah Khomeini?
Are you surprised with the test results, or did the test just confirm what you knew beforehand?

That was in interesting test. Some of the questions were difficult to answer, in their simplicity. But my results came out much like I thought. I'm a left leaning liberal. (I was closest to 'the Dalai Lama' on their chart. Or Gandhi.)

It was surprising to see how close Romney and Obama are. (In the opposite corner of me. ) Maybe it shouldn't be surprising.

I get along just fine with most people, regardless of their political leanings. (Just as long as they don't try to persuade me to adopt their beliefs or tell me that I am "wrong" for believing what I do.)

Read my diary Journal of a Taxi Driver for taxi stories and pictures of flowers and trees.

Both of us came out as very left-libertarian, a bit surprised how far left we were.
One of us, Mr spunky, could never have a relationship with right-wing/conservative person; there would be too many clashes.
Another simpler test to determine someone's politics is to ask the question, 'what should we do about poor people?" The answer tells all!

    Quoting  :

We wouldn't be surprised if David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Ed Miliband were also close together if they did the test.
