This hospital sign is very true however you want to read it!



In a recent survey of Britain's embarrassing place names, the top four were in descending order of embarrassment:
4. Crapstone, near Dartmoor
3. Brokenwind, Aberdeenshire
2. Scratchy Bottom, Dorset
1. Shitterton, Dorset

What embarrassing place names have you come across?

Shitterton is in Dorset's Piddle valley, and its neighbouring village is Scratchy Bottom, close to Durdle Door. The origins of the name Shitterton are unclear but it is widely believed to mean 'the village on the stream that is used as an open sewer'. Inside are two signs for the village.
