On 10 April 1987, the world's first condom shop, Condomerie, was opened in the red light district, Damrak, of Amsterdam in The Netherlands.



Its address is Warmoestraat 141, 1012 JB Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The shop also trades online.

The shop was opened following the HIV/AIDS crisis of the 1980s by two women, Marijke Viliijn and Theodoor van Boven.

There is just something about the Dutch!

 Don't know why but when I saw the pic I thought of Amsterdam. Would have been astounded if it had been in the USA. The selection looks amazing.

Amsterdam does have a certain niche in this field. It is pleasure city. Have you ever been to Amsterdam?
