New blog features coming later this week

New blog features coming later this week In an effort to let people know more what's in the development pipeline, wanted to let you know some things that will hopefully go live later this week: - premium level blog owners will be able to put comments directly under any post in their blog (instead of appending to the list of posts). A popup form is used to they can respond without having to scroll to bottom and reload the blog thread each time. Also modified the look of quoted text to go above the comment. - "See Where I'm Quoted" page - will show the most recent places where someone has quoted you or has responded to your posts. This will be more important once the blog owners have easier way to respond (see above). - Preview mode (you will be able to see what the post will look like before it goes live) - Posters can delete their posts within 30 minutes of making it (I was almost done with letting people edit the post but realized that with the new "preview" mode, editing is less important). - A bunch of new HTML-like support (tables, fonts, backgrounds, etc) |

Now does this only apply to premium members the tables, fonts backgrounds. I am really looking forward to this for sure. I really thank you guys as a site to take the time to improve blogs, to make things fair as possible, and to up the premium members priveledges, it's the whole ya get what you pay for thing. Cowboy

Thanks for your work...I'm having a lot of fun here...personally, I don't get involved too much with the "how things are done" side of things. I just appreciate the interest you've taken along with the effort to communicate.... lustytaurus

Sounds good ....appreciate your efforts very much. 1. By "premium, is that equally for silver or gold? Sounds like we should consider going back on premium again .. also we are using it more now. Not sure exactly what you meant by your 1st point ... "to put comments directly under any post in their blog (instead of appending to the list of posts" .. .I'm not clear on that .... do you mean one can move comments by others to another post? Sure hope is the case, as we use our blog as a "Discussion" blog for key topics with permanent posts containing permanent ongoing discussions / threads , (rather than using blog for constant new writings, as most do) ... would be great to place comments into "correct discussion" when commenters place them in the wrong post. Thanks for improvements ... you guys are really doing a job ... making it far more desirable for us to take out membership again ... good business ... lol!!! Well Done! I guess I am the only one who feels that we should now expect slow posts and crazyness with the message boards..that I am not looking forward to,everytime something new is added,it takes up to 3 days for messages to post on the boards..*sighs*

So, this is nice. Standard remains the same. Had fun while it was fun. C'ya. Just wanna make sure my "delete" feature works, cause I don't want to be a left over profile here, can you fix that too? Don't wanna come back and see that I'm still a fixture on this site for your possible gain in fame. Thank you so kindly.

Thanks Andrew... new features/changes sound really cool. Especially the addition of backgrounds. Kat..could it be that perhaps you might have a lot of new posts? I know that at times you post anywhere from 10 to 30+ in a day...I wonder if that has slowed it down and you are unable to see your blog? or Maybe if you've updated your profile...that might happen too? Just a thought/guess. It sucks tho not to be able to get in...so I sympathize with you. Cuz I like to read your blog..don't always leave a comment, but I still visit and read. I hope you get it straightened out. ~~~ Just me, poppin to say HI! ~~

It would be my recommendation that folks not delete their accounts and quit the blogs over things they don't like...until they see the changes in action...and/or hear answers to their questions or clarification of their concerns. Thus far, it appears the site is being very responsive to us...give them a chance before jumping to conclusions!

Kats - depending on member level, some people have access to posts sooner than others. There are some benefits for premium members.

Are these changes causing glitches in blogland? Is that why some blogs have disappeared from the map? lol -Are we going to be able to upload animated images in the posts? I hope these changes are for the better!

well I am a standard because I have no credit card but I like standard as I have no trouble to read profiles.Just the pics are soooo small... oh well. Glad you are improving the premium member even if I am not one of them

Additional note...I too dissagree with all who oppose changes based on gold/silver/standard status...especially if it is making it to the top listings or such. Right now there is at least an appearance of egalitarianism and merit. Don't you guys make enough already? BTW I say that as a gold member.

Thank you, Andrew. Question. Where is a list of all of the fonts that can be used.. color names..etc? Just a little food for thought............. If you really want to be happy, nobody can stop you... {=}
