The Shoes


What do you do to pay your dues
To a pair of beautiful shoes
The thought was there
The purchase was fair
But then they gave you the blues

The shoes yes, show the shoes
hide your face behind a cowl
Like a wild animal hunting
like a cougar on the prowl

Graceful did you try to move
Sure your shoes would be a hit

It's now plain they never fit
