I Have Two Pussies Now....

Meet J.C. (just cat)
and
O.C. (other cat)

J.C. is the black cat and O.C. is the black and white one.

J.C. suffers from bad allergies. When he was born he was the runt and his momma tossed him out. My mom and I raised him but since his birth he has wheezy breathing and sneezes a lot. When I had his nuts cut off the Vet told me he had a cold and gave him antibiotics. I told her he had allergies and they antibiotics would not work. I was right.

Anyone else have a cat with allergies? If so what do you do for it?

That's what I told the Vet and she told me he had pneumonia and gave him antibiotics.

Oh No never get a cats nuts cut off. We will miss out on all the fun.

I think you have made a terrible mistake here.

Some women have threaten to cut mine off tho. LOL

Good thing I can still run.

This is not meant to offend any one in any way.

My theory is that the cat is allergic to not having balls.

What ever it is I need to take him to another vet in another town and see if they have kitty claritin or something.

We have two of 'em also. Closest thing to an allergy is Lucky tends to have a watery right eye. Comes and goes, I just give a dab o'kleenex just to keep things neat and tidy.

I keep his nose wiped all the time. He really needs some meds though because some days are really bad on him.

That cat looks pretty damn happy in the pic though! I'll bet that it temporarliy forgot that it didn't have balls right there.

You can try shovin' some Pseudofed down its throat. You could also use Chlor-Trimetron or Benedryl. I know they work on dogs.

As an aside--my ex-wife was allergic to her cat. I got rid of her. (No--not the cat.)

When he gets really bad I give him some Benedryl Solar. It seems to help a little...

umm not sure what to do about allergies, but if your cat gets hairballs then put some vaseline on their nose and when they lick it off then it loosens hairballs ^_^ altho i also use it on my dog who has asthma and it helps with her wheezing

Humidifier in the room where the cat sleeps. Check into cat food that has low allergans.

Thanks Blue, I have been seriously considering getting a vaporizer for him. The winter air is a lot dryer and he seems to be suffering more now that the heaters are all on.
