Will Profile Colors and Background Bling Come Back? As we've been fixing bugs and posting updates, the question keeps coming up, "When are you going to return customized profile colors and background bling?" They are not coming back because all profiles now have the same look and feel. This was part of the redesign. I know this is unwelcome news for many, I just don't want to be unclear about whether or not it's coming back. |

Yes I have to agree as a long time user I am not wild about the redesign, its cumbersome, and not nearly as functional.

Well no color allowed!!! just black and white!!! are you guys going to a funeral???? And your membership is going to drop dramatically, and so much for asking our opinions, they do not matter you just do what you fucking want!!!!!! Well if you are going to go to one color at least please not grey and white, give us some choice!!!! why the hell did you do that survey????? Did you honestly think all of us wanted a boring sight!!!!!!! Grrrrr one very pissed off member!!! And this disaster was supposed to be an improvement????? I have not seen any yet!!! Since getting rid of the Custom Background colors and Blings for the member profile...can't something be used other than the bright white. With the bright white you cannot even see the table borders of the different fields of a member profile. Also, how about doing something to get rid of the vertical and horizontal slide bars of the member introduction (description) and what they look for. There is a good 20+ percent of the member profile page that is blank under the "Add Testimonial" that gives ample space for restructuring the member profile page. Furthermore, the Advertisement Banners at the bottom of the page does not really need be 785px X 270px, nor does the Site Directory where it has the "Webmasters, Earn Money!" , "Corporate" , "Privacy Policy" etc... need be that large of an area taking up the page of the profile and all pages of the site. Just on a member profile the Advertisement Banner and Site Directory takes up approximately 1/3rd of the space on a member profile. Combined with the empty space under the Testimonial would more likely be approximately 40 % of unnecessary space used.

Yes, Get Local is gone. It will be replaced with something better shortly. It was too hard to create an event, too confusing in general. What did you use it for? What do you want to see back?

Please explain to us here WHY the redesign was felt necessary? Since everyone hates it so much, there has to be a REALLY good reason for it? I am not renewing membership when it runs out in Jan by the way. The site would do well to note that many paying members are NOT paying for 'hook-ups' OR the porn but for many of the other features you have now removed. Some of those features were free, I know, but it was still worth paying to be a member of a site that valued the individuality of it's members by allowing them to choose their own style..... There really was no other site like it......and then you took it all away. VERYSECRETLYME

So on a site with so many others where it's hard to stand out, you take away the one thing that makes each one of us Unique... the design of our profiles... Interesting that you prefer everyone to be boring and blah! Share my journey...I write when my soul cries.

Yes, Get Local is gone. It will be replaced with something better shortly. It was too hard to create an event, too confusing in general. What did you use it for? What do you want to see back? From all of those that voted the old profile look was by far preferred over the new. All the profiles have the same look, and feel. Did Affairlook for once ever think that we are all different and we designed our profile page to look how we want it too? What was wrong in the first place that you needed to change the look? I'd really like to know what Affairlook's intentions were/are by making the changes when so many people have expressed there dislike of it. I've actually gotten use to the new tool bar and actually like it. But the new profile page looks terrible and blah. Can you honestly tell me that the programmers who worked on this are experienced programmers? Look at the color of the "New Profile Page" if you can honestly say it looks better then I'm blind. Please be honest do you really care what your members think? Thank you for keeping us updated. I know one thing I'd hate to have your job right now knowing that so many people right now dislike Affairlook and the barrier of bad news. I used Get Local to see the members near me just like everyone else has or did. Look at how many times the cost for a silver or gold membership as gone up in price. This site is by far more expensive than any other site. The other site design and layout is far better than Affairlook's. Because many people pay for this site shouldn't Affairlook listen to them? In the end when many will no longer pay for the site what is Affairlook going to do? Shut down? Why come out with a poll, or a survey if you don't listen to what the people say? Also gone is the star rating system. You have taken a site that many people were quite content with and stripped it of not just its fun perks like profile personalization and background bling, but of vital features necessary to perform its primary function, which is to assist people with similar interest in meeting each other. You've crippled its functionality and utility to squeeze more profit out of us by reducing your bandwidth. Why not be bluntly honest and rename the site "Adult Friend Hit-or-Miss," because actually Finding each other has just become a lot more difficult. You people are greedy bastards, pure and simple. I'm glad my Gold membership expires in January, because the sooner I can dump my paying-member status, the better.

I've really lost interest in this site since the new site design was rolled out on a.f.f. I used to login here every day, but now its probably once a week, if that. I won't be renewing to gold or silver again when my current membership expires. I hate the new design, and the thing i hate the most is the removal of the profile background bling and custom colours!

Well I am in agreement with you, I used to log in twice a day or more, adultfreindfinders, and look at profile or check my mail. But now maybe once every two days or if any email log in..but if no email I do not log in and look at the profiles or pictures or videos. well I guess I don't like visiting a morgue or a hospital( o even hospitals have more colors) well I guess I could check the mug shot's!! it seem like a jail, just bland and boring and bright white and black no color!!! (migrain material)so a.f.f. is no longer good for my health, so me too will be letting my membership go, as after all I am just a paying real member!!!!! I guess they want more bots, they don't care what color just harass people!!!! I thought we were in the color days??? Well adultfreindfinders has gone back to the sterile and boring black and medicinal white days??? I totally agree with parameters about the main menu and the location of major items. However, the new design is actually a lack of design, it's boring, old fashioned, and it lacks common-sense flow of the fundamentals. Nothing is where it should logically be located. What makes it worse, is that bugs which existed before are still around, and more bugs added. Another problem currently, standard members get blocked out of most things, except for getting on cam. While they are a non-paying members, they have more power than paying members. Why should we pay, if non-paying members just kick nearly everyone off their cam, and then bitch about the fact nobody's watching them? This site should reward paying members. While giving non-paying members a taste of each aspect of the product, they should not having more power than the paying members. The current trend is that people go where the cammers are, and the cammers which also have a lot of chat to keep it interesting. A major competitor (I can name them if you want) has free cams, with limits for blocking viewers. They also have open chat on the cams. Cammers love that. Most guys I've talked with and I've talked with thousands on this site over the years, hate this Various, Inc. method. On top of this, the price has gone up, as well. I've cut back with what I use on all of the various inc sites.

This has got to have hit Various Inc in the pocket, everyone i talk to on here, in groups, blogs, email, has commented how quiet the site has gone over the last few months.
