We Agree With You - Find a Hookup Is Out We got together today and reviewed your feedback. We unanimously agree that "Find a Hookup" was not a good idea and it's been thrown out the window. So, what do we want it to be then? Search has issues because there are search boxes all over our site, it's not specific enough. We should take the opportunity to come up with something better. Leave a comment with your suggestions - I'll put up a poll later this week and we can vote for the most popular one. I'll admit I'm drawing a blank on ideas here, but some suggestions: - Search Members - Find Members - Connect - Date - Fuck Dirty Right Now <kidding! kind of> |

I like : 1. Connect[or Connect With/B] (Because it leaves the kind of connection one might be looking for open.) 2.Looking for (because then the options complete that sentence) 3.Find members (Because that's pretty much what they are doing) I never noticed the term "Search" all over the site and, in standard UI design for dating and introduction sites, that option is labeled "Search" or some variation thereof. If it were solely my choice for that spot I'd go with either "Search" or "Searching For" (but that's my $1.52.)

Why not use a "Something for Everyone" approach? Categorize search to narrow down what a person has to weed out when they do one... I know that option somewhat exists now with the preferences thing, but it really doesn't work that well. Make it simple so more time is spent interacting instead of scanning meaningless (to some) profiles. Make it simpler to browse for what an individual is looking for. Some people want Hook-Ups, some people want instant sex, and some people just want to blog or whatever... Simplify the experience. That's been my biggest complaint all along. That filters out those who choose not to read a profile and respect what it says (ie: kelighdgh's post today). I choose to be here, I choose to pay for access... Make it a simpler experience. Either "Search Members" or "Find Members" is fine. "Connect" is not necessarily such a great term though. Thank you for taking our concerns onboard ... much appreciated.
