I dislike it because it's up setting the woman on this site -- last thing we need is more stuff that scares them away. Let's make it a comfortable place for them.

"Search" describes perfectly well what you are doing. Unfortunately, there are enough idiots on this site that will take a negative connotation to "Find a Hookup." If it ain't broke, don't mess with it.

Getting the wanna fuck emails is bad enough as it is. It doesn't help when the site gives the impression that they promote disrespect.

Cougar, Great post and I agree..Over on advice line I remember awhile back a thread about folks remembering when we women on site were referred to as whores/hookers. How nice to have a website promoting its female members in such a way. The ladies and I were discussing this in the " after class " session in the chat room, that a woman employee was not involved in this choice or discussion..Can we please HIRE more WOMEN and than these ongoing endless problems would cease . Always disliked that phrase - sadly the site's insistence in the 'get laid now' and now the 'find a hookup' will continue to be the single most annoying facet - due to the sheer number of times overzealous members leave what little common sense and courtesy they may possess in a space far removed from anything they do on this site. Between not reading a profile and their insistence that women here are their to do 'their bidding' simply because we too happen to be on a sex site - this will only, I fear, make it worse. ~ [blog kelidgh]~ I am, indeed

NO! Plain and simple. It's about as derogatory and demeaning to the women on this site as it could possibly be! (So is the "Guarantee to get laid in 30 days") ploy. Please stay with just Search. I would HOPE that you're intent is to actually entice women to this site and NOT chase them away. Am I wrong? -tm

Who's bright idea was that?!? As the others have already said, leave it as SEARCH. 'Hook up; is completely inappropriate, and there are MANY on this site NOT looking to do that! It'd only add fuel to the high volume of male idiocy already prevalent on this site that females have to contend with. I don't think that's what the intentions are. Sounds like someone needs to talk and research with people who have REAL marketing experience than 'floating' asinine ideas like this around!

Unless you are not here for sex - but just a chatty b***s**t session to boost your own flimsy ego's. I'm probably the only woman on here that disagrees with every one of you! "We're Degraded" - really, maybe you need a little counseling to boost your poor self-esteem. Sex is OMG - sex! It is what it is - stop trying to wrap freaking everything in pretty flower paper. Step up ladies, empower yourselves for heaven's sake. Some of us are really here to HOOK-UP, have sex, play and enjoy ourselves with the absolutely little time we have to do it. If the words bother you maybe you ought to go play on match.com where everything is sterilized, monitored and pc for your fragile, pansy asses.

There is an easy way to solve this whole issue. Add a box to each profile that can be activated if you want a hook-up. Leave it clicked for as long as you feel the urge. Hell- take a week off "you know when" and re-up when Aunt Flow leaves...BFD. Next, design a system within the existing "Search" module that allows members to search specifically for "hook ups". Add a few boxes and write some new script- hell, that's what I'm paying you to do! This way, those who want to get laid may do so, and those who want "other alternative whatever" can have that option as well. When it comes to sex, I need a STRONG connection. Otherwise, the page just keeps buffering and takes FOREVER to load...

Making such a change may seem like a small thing to you. But what you are doing in effect is cheapening and objectifying the women here. Every woman here is a real person. A person with the right to choose. Things like changing the word search to hook up, makes all of the intelligent, respectable women here, seem like nothing more then hookers working for your cooperation. Just because some of the women here are willing to show off their bodies or are open about sex and sexuality does not mean they are looking for faceless "Hook ups." What you will end up doing with this is chasing away the women that keep us guys coming back. If you chase them away you will also loose long standing paying male customers. The women here deserve the same respect you would expect people to give your mother.

It's demeaning, belittling and ignorant. The real women on this site already resent being presented as WHORES by your marketing department. The "guaranty" to guys that they're going to get laid, and he cam-girl chat pop-up on the log-in window, ALSO a great ploy to rid the site of real women. WHEN will your marketing people learn, that if there are REAL women on this site, the men will come and pay and STAY?

Sorry, me again ... I just did a post yesterday: [post 2714398] that is on point. I get a TON of email from newbies (because my profile says I've been around for a decade) asking me what they are doing WRONG. This guy wrote because he was frustrated because he has been here three months and hasn't found a sex partner, and ALL of us long-timers say that his experience is typical. WHY are you guys marketing the site in ways that are PURPOSEFULLY setting up your new male members to be disappointed and leave?

I'm just shooting for anyone  This is yet another cynical marketing excercise intended to attract male paying members without having any regard whatsoever for the existing membership (loyal client base), mainly the girls, but it will also adversely affect your paying guy members too. Apart from it being demeaning and morally objectionable to women and those among us guys who care about the girls and who don't want this site going even further downhill, it will without doubt exacerbate the huge problem of the attitude of the huge numbers of moronic guys on here who are completely disrespectful to women already, it's like the site is legitimising and attracting this sort of behaviour. The result of this will be that more and more women will leave (only to be replaced by fake/scam profiles) and thereby worsen the already massive numerical imbalance between the genders.... with fewer and fewer girls the site will lose the pay male market that it is playing to and thus slaughter the bottom line eventually, and once lost the membership will be nigh on impossible to regain. If the women are lost the men will follow.... to ensure the future of the site keep the girls happy, it's obvious and it's right.

Adding it as a search option is the best way to go about it. As the search term you will lose a lot of your active members.

I think boxes are possible solution, versus more complaints. Granted not everyone will be happy but, that's normal.  love solutions!
