Classic Profile View Has Been Retired

Classic Profile View Has Been Retired  For those of you who have been using the classic profile view, you'll notice it's no longer available. It's been replaced by the new profile view. About 10 months ago we introduced a cleaner profile. With this new profile we raised limits on the number of photos you could have, and added photo albums to all profiles. We kept the classic profile view for 10 months so those who preferred it could still use it. Over time it's become more difficult to support 2 versions of the same profile page. For instance, you may have noticed more frequent issues with colors and bling backgrounds. To make profiles more stable, we've moved to the new version for everyone. You'll notice we've added "Member Since" to the new profile, and updated tables, fonts and colors. The profiles will load about 30% faster as well. Please spread the word that this is not a bug and let us know you think. |

Absolutely horrible change. *Unbalanced and no color choice for buttons... *Please update with the ability to edit to customize button colors. (Red only is not acceptable.)

I'm not seeing my membership sign up date displayed on my profile.

I personally do not like the "new" profile look at all; nor, do I like the fact that all my activities on this site are seen by any and all member viewing my profile. Secondly, I do not like how the format of the page has approximately 10-15 percent of it as blank unused space (due to the centering of tables and cells). Thirdly, I do not like having to use scroll bars (vertical and horizontal) to reading a members profile that may be long written. I am sure that I am not the only one either; consequently, this decreases that a viewer of a profile will read the member description and etc...on their profile completely. Just because something looks clean means that it is, or that it is better.

I didn't like it when you first brought it out and I don't like it now. You asked what was wrong with the new view, and everyone told you, but you chose to not fix the things we didn't like, and forced us to have it any way. Nothing we can do about it, but we still think it sucks!!!

Hey Ryan, I thought the site "listened to the members feedback" and suggestions....I hate to say this bro, but it is apparent that we members are\were not being listened to in concerns to the "new profile" format or were 10 months ago for that matter. The majority 10 months ago expressed that they did not like the new profile look, and the majority 10 months later still does not like it and still expressing it. I believe that there was confusion of exactly what the members did like with the new format design of the site "home page and forums" that was changed months ago, and the site considered that the new profile look was included in that survey. Why do we have this nonsense? It's totally ridiculous. It's hard to navigate and understand. This so idiotic. Who were you listening to? You weren't listening to the members. I would love to see who gave you this groundswell of support. I am constantly having glitches with this site. Your time would be spent addressing them than putting this nonsense up. It takes several views to get the information that I used to able to get at one time. Why are you constantly trying to frustrate and aggravate your members?

I DO NOT like the change. The classic one was cleaner, in my opinion - this new one has the following problems: The font size is too large. Not EVERYONE in the universe has a 20 or 30" screen, some of us are 15" or 17" and the text runs off the page and makes it look simply awful. The format was fine like it WAS. Pics, testimonies, bling, friends down the left side, and demographics of the profile and the mail option under that. I don't know WHAT is at the bottom of the page anymore because that ANNOYING 'tool bar' gets in the fucking way! Get rid of that damn tool bar. It doesn't DO anything. If the programmers had the sense to USE it as a toolbar and actually put tools ON IT (like Bold Italic or Underline, size and color etc and maybe page formatting tools for those of us with wee screens so we could reduce the font size that was arbitrarily chosen FOR us, and stuff like that it might make sense. The tool bar is also poorly placed ON the screen, and one should be allowed to make the fucking thing disappear altogether if they don't want it. I DON'T WANT THE TOOLBAR!!  Just my suggestions and I hope some of them find ears that are listening! Thank you for fixing the Firefox bling problem though.

why are you asking our opinion? noone liked it when you rolled it out initially, get rid of the spam ads attached to our profiles that should download quicker...i was gifted my last 4 months of membership, i wont ever pay again i did for 6 years i got tired of the glitches and changes    je ne regrette rien

I was always taught that the purpose of a business was to make money and to do so by satisfying the largest number of customers possible. Your people digress, regress,and do enough back ass wards stuff to be able to compete with the Federal Government. Give me one reason why I should ever pay you anything again???

I now have 7 people/9 profiles blocked from everything but chat and my profile. I don't want them reading me, but if I block them in chat, they can read me, but I can't read them. This is backwards. I would like to block them from my profile, but guess what? That option blocks them in chat. So, now, with this new profile, these members can see blocked comments on my blog and other personal information because I don't block them from my profile because I don't want to block them in chat.

OK. You put out an option - MOST hated it. Yet, you blithely go forward with the damn thing anyway - and then YOU HAVE THE TEMERITY TO OPEN PHOTOS TO ALL? What the fukk dude? If I wanted all the photos out there- I would freakin put them out there~~~~ Not to mention the fact that you have yet to realistically or correctly address the many issues the site encounters, from false profiles to glitches in the blogs that remove and replace comments and posts, you have to remove the last bits of real control that we had in keeping things private - including blog posts, photos and friends. Apparently, from the litany of complaints now and previously - it appears that the marketing monkeys are holding the IT departments balls hostage ... and running the credit card machines 24X7 to pay salaries. And since we are all aware of the premium to which men hold their balls - we are all expected to just "adjust and deal" or go. See - you all just keep giving me reasons to NOT re-up a paid membership, even though I kept gold for 3 years. It's not worth the aggro for me to pay for the "service" and it is fast becoming too annoying to deal with for free. ~ [blog kelidgh]~ I am, indeed

Hello, just want to say like anything you change is growth for the site. I totally go for that. But you do some more tweeking on the new profile. Do some changes that will satisfy all? I prefer the old profile look myself.
