Whoa... there is a February Suggestions Box?

When do I get an effective reply to some of the good (my opinion) questions, I and others raised, in the January Suggestions Box? Let alone the follow up issues in Response to Webcast post?

Wow Ryan .. something is going on because I get a "join and be a member to make a comment". And then my blog disappeared and magically appeared again. Yeah. Ghosts in the Machine.

Actually - I am writing to ask about the new blip that is showing up on the Blogs homepage. From this, it is saying that standard members now cannot add photos - which is something we were always allowed to do. I have no issue with not being able to respond in comments - but to arbitrarily remove functions (as of yet it is not disabled) seems rather short-sighted and mean. Why don't you all INCREASE the options for blogs available to silver and gold members, rather than remove options that many of us standard members use consistently?

It just seems that you all are removing more and more features from the standard members - yet you read all the complaints from the paying members about the buggy service, non-functional options, etc ... and then have an expectation that everyone is going to pay for services that are not functional ? It just seems to be another marketing moneymonger gone wrong. Just like the difficulties I had trying to post this comment today - just to get TO the comment screen ... It hardly puts me in the mood to pay. Thanks

my suggestion would be to make received emails free to look at...then make it so you can only respond with a membership or points

Is there some kind of method to the that chat banner? I see it under this handle but I don't see it under our couple handle? Is that because our couple handle has been a paid account within the last year (and is likely to be again in the future)?

The only thing I HAVE to do is eat, shit, and die. Everything else is a choice.

Affairlook Customer Support regarding the new banners (Complaint)

I am writing this here as maybe I'll get more feedback here than some half-witted excuse that I do from team support.

I have sent two emails complaining to Affairlook about these new banners. They appear in both the INBOX advertising “Make Contact and Get Laid” and the CHATROOMS advertising “Group Chats Meet More Members”.
They also appear in:
The Lists page advertising “Keep Track of all those Hotties”
The Friend Network page advertising “Get the most out of your friend network”
The video page advertising “Watch tons of Sexy Videos”
The Blog page advertising “Avid bloggers get more attention” and gawd knows where else.
Not just the fact that they are annoying and take up half the page…………..they aren’t making me want to pay or upgrade to Affairlook, when the site does something as stupid as this.

Fact is if Affairlook is going to make it more difficult for standard members to use this site, then they will simply go elsewhere………………..we do have a vast choice of other sites to give our membership to, and to sites that work and actually care about their members. Also Word of mouth goes along way…………..right now my word of mouth does not do Affairlook any favours.

What I do find Ironic is the banner in the chatroom takes up half the page cutting the room in half so you cant see what people are saying. Yet the banner is advertising just that “Group Chat helps you meet more members”. Well it doesn’t help you meet more members when you cant see the page because the damn banner is in the way………….Affairlook is making it impossible to chat. This doesn’t make me want to upgrade either. The last thing I want to do is give money to a site that doesn’t work properly.

Of all the stupid decisions Affairlook has made, the decision to put these damn banners up really takes the cake. And then to receive email replies from customer care saying they don’t know what I’m talking about…………..is just some half-witted excuse. Yes they do know damn well what I am referring to and what others are complaining about, yet they wont remove them and they give us some half-assed excuse as if they don’t understand what we are referring to.

Affairlook’s other dim-witted reason that they are in the red and have to put these adds on is to make money is just inexcusable. If Affairlook actually looked after the customers they DO have instead of making it more difficult to use the site making us wanting to leave Affairlook, then they wouldn’t put up these annoying and discouraging advertising banners.

Below are the response I got from Affairlook customer care to my complaint and also the response a friend got from customer care. It,s these stupid half arsed replies that make me think this site is being run by a pack of monkeys. Another thing these emails from team support are printed exactly the way they were typed to us.

Email reply sent to xxx (another Affairlook member / friend of mine / soon to be ex Affairlook member because of this shit)

Dear customer,

Unfortunately, we are unable to take off the banners which run on the top of chat room. The banners do not run across chat room or interfere with the content of chats. We do apologize for the inconvenience this may be causing you.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again.Thankyou

Email reply I received

Dear Member,

Thank you for contacting Customer Support.

We do not have enough information from you to determine what the real problem it is. It will be clearer if you can provide us a step-by-step of what happened so we can exactly assist you in this matter.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again.

Thank you,

Peter S.
Affairlook Team Support

So here I am now posting this complaint in the Affairlook Community Blogs in hope that someone will give a reasonable explanation or even a solution to removing these half arsed useless banners that they say they cant remove, yet who was it that put them up there in the first place.

Also I might add that in my email to them I was more than clear about the problem. I even had a friend (who majored in English) listen to the email I sent Affairlook before I actually sent it……………..so I know that it was more than clear.

Unimpressed (again)

A site wide block...would be very nice...including blocking profile view...and streamline the current blocking of members...one box to check that blocks all activities...Informing members of future updates in a timely manner both here and the SSB...suggesting to members not to use any other IMC systems while trying to use the one here (which would probably solve the majority of connection/paging problems with it here) I'd be quite pleased with those... for a start.

Just PLEASE don't take away standard's rights to post photos in blog... I agree with kelidgh, that's just mean. Doesn't quite make us want to upgrade, especially with all the crap going on now.

Yah really. I finally come back to blogs to discover you're taking away an integral part of the blogs.

I'm damned sure not going to go pay to be able to post pix that the majority of my "watchers" and readers can't see. You'd think you guys would've figured this stuff out after you stupidly made cams viewable only for paid members.

Funny how the guys didn't run out and sign up for that one and the site just about died in a few days.

The only thing I HAVE to do is eat, shit, and die. Everything else is a choice.

Amen, sista!

I will not be a happy camper if it gets to the extreme you're picturing.
Don't these new guys running the site understand that:
1. The majority of the population of this site is male!
2. This is a sex site!!
3. Studies show men are predominantly visually aroused!!!

It's kind of a perverted point to make but what the hell... this is a SEX SITE!
I mean come on let's get real... take away the majority of peoples' rights to post and view videos, to post and view pictures... what do we have left? A bunch of text that most guys here don't even read anyway
I don't know where they think they're gonna be getting the bigger slice of their pie from, come another year down the road, if they've alienated the majority of their members - which just happens to be non-paying members and men...

Sorry Ryan... you are such a sweetheart and SO patient with what you do and obviously none of this is directed at you... these are issues that go waaaaaaaay up to the top of the food chain, where obviously none of us are able to reach.

New banner feature has to go Ryan. Going into flash chat isn't an option as most people do not like this feature.

How can get more people to pay for memberships if you keep pissing them off?

On the bling editor I would like to see a input for the hex colour as a option for choosing colour, this would make it much easier for beginner blingers to get colour info to the editor from their photo software!

What's with Affairlook at the moment? Service has dropped markedly of late.

I live in London but Affairlook?/IMC transports me each time to Calif

If I view photos I get a message to either requests me to restart your session or we notice that you haven't signed up yet - I'm a paying Silver member.

Access to images has been reduced, once where I was able to view members photo albums now I can only view 5 profile images.

IMC generally doesn't work.

A member will be shown as being online when in fact they are not. (tested this with a friend, she having highlighted this to me)

General opinion of Affairlook - a lot of over egging the pudding. The 'millions' of members is actaully only several hundred thousand active members worldwide. At anyone time only 2-3k people worldwide will be chatting, a poor return from the 'millions' that we are told use the site.

Very poor customer service.

Actually - I take issue with your #7. As a standard member (and - before you wonder I was a gold member for 3 years) I have NO issue with the limits of the site. We cannot, as you so blithely suggested moved with impunity and do that which the paying members can. If you choose to pay for standard members to view and contact .. that is on you. If a standard member CHOOSES to contact someone who DOES NOT have that option available - they can spend points that are given for activities the standard member does on the site. When your dissatisfaction with paying for a service that is buggy at best, has ended ... you will either leave or lapse a membership to standard status. At that time, would you not be a bit upset to find that you had X Y and Z options always available .. and NOW - for whatever reason the marketing monkeys picked that week .. you didn't? I would expect you would. As many of us are. Good business sense and much of the functionality (or lack thereof - you had 6 points) of A F F are rather an oxymoron ... but there are better options out there than creating a system that would alienate and undoubtedly cause many standard members to leave ... and that would mean a significant number of women ... which would then decrease any man's odds even more to lottery dimensions than they are now.

That horrible notification bar that was in "test status" is now mysteriously back .. with only option (that I can find) to just use up the bottom 1/8 of the page in orange. Can you please PLEASEprovide a way to REMOVE it - rather than just minimize it? And if it is there - could you NOT bury it in the 7 or 8 profile notification options .. or whatever page it IS on ...
And, while we are at it -- how do I get rid of this abomination?

You're not realizing the fact that in leaning toward your suggestions the site will be alienating the majority of its members.

This is not an elitist union.
The site won't get shit for business in the future years if they keep shutting out their main attractions.

This was something that Ryan proposed last year but as yet nothing happened, they just mess with other less important parts of the site

One suggestion: get your QA department in order. Lately every new 'fix' or feature breaks other functionality.
Latest: Live webcams is refreshing again, but.... it doesn't refresh your current filter settings, but the standard settings that are effective when you first open the page.
Other annoying thing: my language setting switches sometimes to english.

OK .. where did the "quick reply" choices go? The "notification bar" that cannot be removed appeared - and they went poof. Probably one of the best features that you all had in email was that series of choices - and the ability to send a bunch of "no Thank You" emails to those you chose not to interact with further - but didn't want to waste either energy or time draughting specific responses. Anyone else notice this - or is it another removal of former functionality no longer available to standard members?

Please ass some more control to the 'Who has Viewed Me'

More specifically being able to choose ONLY to see LOCAL people who have winked/hotlisted/viewed you would be a very nice addition.

What I mainly mean is as for example I live in England, it's continously frustaing to see the daily new addition of bots and 'camgirls' winking at me from all around the world which I'm certain everyone else gets.

It would be wonderful if the site actually took reports threats and harassment seriously.
