Sneak Peak - Notification Bar is Ready for You to Test!!!  Click Here (Notification_Bar) to access the notification bar and survey OK guys, the notification bar is ready for you to test! We're making this sneak peak available to members who read this blog and the Live From AFF group only. If you know someone who would like to test this too, feel free to share. This is exciting for a few reasons: 1) We are asking before doing. Over the last few months the team over here at Affairlook has really valued your feedback. You catch things we miss, you have great ideas and there's a good channel of communication open. For the notification bar, we want to hear from you first. 2) It's pretty damn cool. It should be something that is really useful. I've been using it internally for the last few weeks and really dig it. Take your time, and put it to the test. Break it if you can. Make sure to take the survey after you've had a few days with it. Every answer you give will be read by the whole team. Few notes: * You have full control over which settings you want on and off. To begin with, please keep them all on. * Make sure to take the survey! .. guess you have some trouble... I chose the first group only 'General alerts' and only the first 3 there: e-mails, winks and invitations. Yet my alerts list is full.. seeing all the new pics from Mexico, vids from Canada and so on... and I live in Europe. But guess so far not those ones I was looking for, or, haven't had any winks then... Just fired it up...seems like a decent feature to have...if it's tweakable to us...small, compact, not invasive to the rest of the real estate...I'm assuming it is tweakable to our Cupid Settings on our account page right?

OKAY.. I found them. NO.. if you have no alerts you can't access the controls unless you go to the account thing. I was hoping I could 'turn off' say the flirts not just turn off the 'notification' I had one. I have at this time left them all ON..but like Smulch said.. I am not interested in some of this stuff at all. NOTE.. I love the negative vote that I am the only one that has one for that at that time mine wasn't showing... total advice lines/magazine childishness at it's best!! Others have posted they didn't see it either..but only "I" am the special one to get told NOOOOOOOO...lol negative vote. RYAN..note, this is why voting needs to be SHUT DOWN on some things. Perfect example of vindictiveness and immaturity.

You can set what Alerts you what by going to: Account Main Preferences Notification Settings

The most useful alerts for me would be that I have a blog comment or someone has replied to a comment I have left on their page. I really don't care to know that people have flirted with me  ***

love this thing, but think it would be better if attached to the bottom of a cam u r viewing, dont know about others but when i'm viewing someone i dont keep my home page open. or if it could some how attach above tool bar on desktop. flirt alerts r driving me nuts had to turn them off got 202 in 1 hour and today pages arnt going threw well at all

forgot to ask for another thing to add, i see we get alerts about anyone in out networks, such as them going on cam mail etc, could u also include updates from our hot lits?

After getting tons of notifications today, I haven't received ANY for the past 5 hours. I still have the bar and they were set to all yes. I just changed a few of them to no and updated. We'll see. Did I break it?

NOTE.. when I re-log in.. I have to re-start the entire thing. It doesn't just stay running.

It's working for me except the distance setting on my cupid preferences doesn't seem to be working. I'm getting alerts about people all over the world.

Now the setttings work fine, not anymore seeing new pics from other side of the world. But... when the bar in on, after a while the links don't work! Cannot go to groups, blogs etc! Have to turn off the bar, then they work again. Using firefox. It actually works! There's the problem with getting updates about people the other side of the world adding photos, but cupid settings have always been a bit hit-and-miss. And there's the way it shows emails you've sent as being ones you've received... But if you use the settings to configure what you want then it does seem to work in a non-obtrusive way - it gives you functionality that you can use if you want and ignore if you don't. As long as it doesn't break anything else on the fragile site then it's a welcome addition
