What's New with Albums?

Hey guys, we just released some updates to the albums. Here's the deets:

Up until now, your albums have been private photos that only your friends could see. Moving forward you'll be able to make your albums public if you choose. Making an album public that means that anyone who can see your profile will also be able to see your album.

If you already have some albums, you've probably noticed that when you log in you'll be prompted to select any of your current albums that you want to be public. This is a choice, you do not have to make your albums public if you don't want. By default your old albums will stay private unless you choose to make them public.

When you create a new album you will decide if you want it to stay private between you and your friends or if you want to make it public to everyone. Don't worry though, you can always change it from public to private if you need to. The easiest way to get to your albums is by going to your Profile Page and clicking on your album.

The nice thing about albums is that you are able to put any picture you want inside of them. Pics of stuff like your car, your favorite bottle of wine, pics of last weekends party, really anything you want. It should open things up and let you share more than just a profile pic.

Standards will not be able to see your album, because they can not see your profile page.

 Well we have to agree with Koffla as 1 of our "private" network albums is "being" listed as a public album, and we were not give the option to make private. Also gal half's network photo album is now on this "new" public album. And she was not given the option to allow public viewing.

So here again is another new feature that is a piece of "crap" and something that the majority of the members (paying & free) were not asked about before changes were made.

 I've already clicked the no thanks....but everytime I sign in you ask me again.....why? How many times are you going to ask me if I want to make it public? I do not like this ... albums are suppose to be private. At least when we answer no thanks....do not ask again.

I had no idea one could post a non-person picture - I just assumed it had to be a photo of a body part like the profile picture: I cannot wait to take a few photos of my area, sights/things. stuff in general that are special to me to show: of course in compliance with what is allowed in photos.

 Why were the photo albums made public prior to our being ask if that is what we wanted to do? How do we know it won't be done again?

 Well, my watched blogs list is gone from the main page, but if I hit "view all", they are there.

I set my albums to public. Hopefully I won't get nagged??

What's up with this? I am with CuriousN---everytime I log in the same thing pops up. I am not going to change my mind. My albums are private and I only allow my peeps to see them.

I have also had the same issue as NascarFox with my watched blogs disappearing---I think I have had to add them back 3-4 times.

HELP!!!!!!

 I have never seen the options for public or private..I want mine to be private..Hell..I have grand kids old enough to be on this site..You think I want them checking them out..

There have been so many problems since you guy took over the site..It is ashamed you can not make sure things work right before you change them..For 2 months I have not been able to send e-mails to a friend..And my testimonial and his friends network are no longer there..He says he has done nothing to make these changes..

Come on guys..Get your shit together or give us a refund..We'll find a site that is worth the money we pay..

 I agree with most everyone on her and to think after 2010 the free members will nto get to do anything anyway i have already joined anothe site similar to this and I hope to have as much fun as i have on this one. Yes you do have a lot of fuck ups and since the new ownership seems to have gotten worse. Why would anyone want to pay hard earned money on something that is not 100% functional? It's insane

 ... I think I will go and delete the albums...
They are private. I have a very small network, those albums are meant only for some people.

Now I fear that one day I accidentally touch wrong place on the screen and accept 'your nice offer'.

It should be enough we say 'NO' once.
If we change our minds, I think we know how to make them public...

 Standards will not be able to see your album, because they can not see your profile page.

Ryan, many standard members CAN see profiles so if they have access to the profile, do they or don't they have the ability to see the PUBLIC albums?

 i dont want my albums made public they are for my network friends only if i wanted them public i would post them on my profile...now i cant tell if they are public or not the box to make them public was checked even though i said NO thanks

 well, we understand about glitches when adding new features. hell, rome wasn't burnt in a day.

and we don't expect anything to work 100% anywhere...not even condoms.

and having public albums is great. we do wish the picture limit was higher overall.

some questions:

1) we pay so standard members can view our profile. does our extra money also allow standard members to view public albums? if not, it should. Please let us know.

2) is there now or will there soon be a mechanism for linking to public albums from blog entries, group posts, email, etc. something like {memberalbum xxxxxxxx text}?

3) why isn't there a list of top couples blogs on the main blog page anyway? seems like couples are getting the shaft. nudge, nudge...

If they further restrict what standard of or free members can do here( at present I am here just for magazine,group and blog activity) I will go to another site,and also agree that this site has many fucks ups

Every member is allowed to add up to 20 photos for their profile.

For albums, standard members can have a maximum of 5 photos, silvers can have a maximum of 20 photos and gold members can have up to 50 photos. These numbers are not per album, but cumulative total per profile.

Ryan, I'll have to add this info to the Membership Abilities list. I didn't have it listed. You might want to add it as well for your reference.
